The purpose of this study was to examine how regular preschool teachers and parents with nondisabled young children looked at integrated education for the disabled in an effort to lay the foundation for providing more successful integrated education. The subjects in this study were 297 regular preschool teachers and parents with nondisabled preschoolers, on whom a survey was conducted. The research questions were posed as below: 1. How do regular preschool teachers and parents with nondisabled young children perceive integrated education? Are there any gaps between their views? 2. Does the type of preschool education institutes make any differences to the outlook of regular teachers on integrated education? 3. Are there any differences among the opinions of parents with nondisabled preschoolers on integrated education? The findings of the study were as follows: First, concerning the outlook of the two groups on integrated education, the collective averages of both groups ranged from 2 to 3 points, which was below the average, and this fact showed that the teachers and parents investigated didn't take a favorable view of integrated education. And the way the teacher group and the parent group looked at integrated education was significantly different. Regarding the impacts of integrated education on nondisabled preschoolers, disabled preschoolers and regular teachers and the necessity of reform measures, the regular teachers had a more positive opinion and placed more stress on the necessity of reform measures than the parents, and the gap between the two was significant. Second, what type of preschool education institute the regular teachers worked for made no significant difference to their general view of integrated education, but as for the impacts of integrated education on nondisabled preschoolers, disabled preschoolers and regular teachers and the necessity of reform measures, they had a significantly different opinion. The national and public kindergarten teachers took the most favorable view and put the most emphasis on the necessity of reform measures, followed by the daycare center teachers and private kindergarten teachers. Third, as for the outlook of the parents with nondisabled young children on integrated education, there was no significant gap among them. In regard to general outlook on integrated education and its impact on nondisabled young children, their parents and disabled preschoolers, they got a mean of 2 to 3 marks out of five points, which was on the average. This fact implied that the parents didn't have a positive opinion about integrated education, and as to reform measures, they got a mean of four points, which signified that they considered it necessary to take an action to improve integrated education.
