This study examined two female high jumpers, one of whom was awarded in a national championship, to analyze the performance of two athletes kinetically. To verify the contribution of jumping before female high jump, 2D image analysis was used to analyze the athletes' hip angle of jumping leg, knee angle of jumping leg, knee angle of the opposite leg, time spent in jumping, and change in height of center point. The following lists the conclusions of this study: 1) The average hip angle was about 10° larger for the winning athletes and there was a significant difference between the two groups (t=-5.439, p<.05). Therefore, larger hip angles are likely to contribute to their performances. 2) Jumping time was generally quicker for the winning athletes and where was a significant difference between the two groups (t=7.410,p<.05). Therefore, quicker jumping time is likely to influence their performances. 3) It was found that the winning athletes reached higher vertical heights and there was a significant difference between the two groups(t=-8.624,p<.05).
