The study was an objective that isolate the PGPR producing gibberellin. To isolate a bacterium that promote a plant growth, a total of microorganism were obtained from the soil and leaves in field, Korea. Among these, it selected two strains are the most effect which promotes a plant growth. It is the SE4 and SE370. The SE4 and SE370 were solubilizing insoluble forms of phosphorus. And The SE4 was an antagonistic bacterium against red-peper rotting fungi Phytophthora capsici. The result which it treats culture broth in the cucumber, the Chinese cabbage and Crown daisy, growth of plants treated two strains were better than untreated it. The isolated strain was identified as SE4 is Burkholderia cepacia and SE370 is Acinetobacter calcoaceticus by 16s rDNA analyses. Gibberellins (GAs), one of well-known plant growth-promoting hormones, were detected in the culture broth of the Burkholderia cepacia SE4 and the Acinetobacter calcoaceticus SE370. A. calcoaceticus SE370 was comparatively higher content of GAs than B. cepacia SE4. Burkholderia cepacia SE4 produced GA1, GA3, GA4, GA9, GA12, GA15, GA20, and GA24 (total 9.65ng/100㎖). Acinetobacter calcoaceticus SE370 produced GA1, GA3, GA4, GA9, GA12, GA15, GA19, GA20, GA24 and GA53 (total 12.25ng/100㎖). Burkholderia cepacia and Acinetobacter calcoaceticus is still not report which produce the gibberellins.
