This research has been investigated for characteristics of plant distribution and it's effect to relationship of environment in lower reach of Yangjae stream, which was restored as natural, section between 6th Youngdong and Daechi bridge. Investigation area was divided with two section with east and west part on the base of stream, and two section with terrace land closer and slope of bank far on the base of waterside in-between bike road. There had 3 cross belt transection, 4 sites on east/west terrace land and on east/west slope of bank for investigation and analysis of their mutual relationship in each site which were related to flora and coverage of major plant, gravimetric water content, particle size, color, pH of soil, different distribution of major plant as per distance from waterside, irradiation. The results were as follows : 1. Distribution of wetland plants such as Phragmites communis, Miscanthus sacchariflorus, Persicaria thunbergii, Lycopus lucidus, Artemisia selengensis were well developed in number in terrace land, while distribution of upland plants such as Chrysanthmum boreale, Artemisia feddei, Chelidonium majus, Amphicarpaea edgeworthii, Agropyron tsukushiense and facultative plants such as Achyranthes japonica, Humulus japonicus, Stellaria aquatica were well developed in number in slope of bank. therefore, plant distribution was differently shown by cross land. 2. Gravimetric water content of soil which showed on average 40.44% in terrace land and 21.72% in slope of bank had a great influence on difference of plant distribution between terrace land and slope of bank. According to above investigation, wetland plant was well distributed on terrace land showing high water content, while upland plant was well distributed on slope of bank showing low water content. 3. Gravimetric water content of soil had close and direct connection with particle size of soil. Soil on terrace land was composed of fine sand, silt, clay with small particle size, under bad drain, on soil showing high water content. While soil on slope was composed of gravel, coarse sand with big particle size, under good drain, in low water content. 4. Plant distribution had a close relationship with distance from waterside. Wetland plants were usually distributed in terrace land near waterside, upland plants were in slope of bank far waterside, facultative plants were distributed widely from terrace land near waterside to slope of bank. Therefore, distance from waterside was related to plant distribution. 5. As Yangjae stream had been restored friend-environmentally as a city-stream, there laid bike road along the stream between terrace land and slope of bank. As bike road had influences on plant distribution of terrace land and slope of bank, they had different structure of plant and no continuance at all. It was a characteristic of city stream that upland plant of major plants on slope of bank reached out to lower slope of bank with high water content without wetland plant. The Most important factor of difference for plant distribution between terrace land and slope of bank was a water content, which was related to particle size of soil and distance to waterside. Therefore, the physical characteristic of soil as per change of crossing land form had a direct relationship with plant distribution as investigated. A characteristic of City-stream restored had a great influence on plant distribution as investigated.
