This study aims at exploring how using project approach changed teachers' value of education. This study attempts to suggest what is good about the project approach implemented in field and contribute to the spread of the approach over all school fields. Study subject is to examine how the views on children and teaching of teachers who conducted project approach have changed and how their professionalism has increased. Subjects were 14 elementary school teachers who completed 45 hour-course of project approach and had experienced teaching what they had learned. They were divided into 3 groups, randomly and data were collected and analyzed after focus group interview in October, 2009. The results are as follows: First, teachers realized that their children have potentials and personalities, which was the result of the application of the project approach that helped children display their abilities. Second, teachers came to have high self-esteems watching children enjoy learning with interests and know that they need to study hard to become good facilitators. Third, in application procedure, teachers came to understand the curriculum in depth by necessarily conducting a curriculum reconstruction/integration procedure from beginning of the project to end. They also showed confidence in guiding their children after the approach encouraged communication and cohesion between teacher-children and their classes as a whole. Consequently, the project approach is a significant teaching·learning method in giving teachers opportunities to find potentials and personalities in children, have positive perception toward teaching, and encouraged professionalism.
