This thesis is to research ways to expand learner's language ability by integrating teachings of reading and writing, and to promote expansion of learner's expression abilities. In order to pursue this, researcher will substantially guide by reflecting integrated language education's viewpoint through the literary works where they reflect actual world of overall life. "Parkssijeon" (story of Park) in Korean middle school third grade's textbook contains various ways of life from late Chosun Dynasty's ancestors. Among them, the researcher will critically analyze the work, plus direct readings and writings in the integrated way from the viewpoint of reflecting 21st century's modern society in Si-Baek Lee's behavior changes where it changes before and after the transformation of Park's wife. Further, it will reflect patriarchy, its contradiction, and from the perspective of wrong bias of outer appearance. Furthermore, in order to teach listening, speaking, writing in a systematic and integrated ways, it will approach integrated language education with drama class model and small group collaboration learning model. For the research methods, chapter 2 will examine the relationship among the nature of the integrated language education, integrated language reading and wring. Also, it will study integrated linguistic characteristics applied towards the revised Korean education program in 2007. In chapter 3, in order for the learners actively realize understanding and expression activities in the integrated way, it will examine teaching and learning models from existing novels. Also, in order for the integrated language education between reading and writing can efficiently be realized, it will examine educational drama model, plus integrated reading and writing teaching model through cooperative learning. In addition, it will find out novel's teaching-learning model with integrated reading and writing based on the above mentioned theoretical background. Moreover, it will propose found integrated teaching-learning model into the practice which was applied into "Parkssijeon". When applying and teaching of "Parkssijeon" toward integrated model of the reading and writing, it will form class members into small groups and apply drama class model. In chapter 4, it will review research result that was applied with integrated teaching-learning model from chapter 3, then propose integrated education's necessities which is the result that was found from this research. Through this, it will emphasize the importance of the integrated language teaching as the method to expand expression ability of the learner.
