백출(atractylodes japonica) extract로써 유방암의 억제증식효과를 실험한 결과 메탄올 추출에서 시간과 농도의존성에서 유익한 효과는 보이지 않았으나 열수 추출에서는 48시간의존성에서 고분자 900에서 35%억제효과를 보였다.
백출(atractylodes japonica) COX-2와 iNOS로써 유방암의 억제증식효과를 실험한 결과 메탄올 추출에서 암세포증식억제와 암표적인자의 발현억제기능이 COX2(60%), iNOS(99%)의 효과를 보였다.
열수 추출에서는 암세포증식과 암표적인자의 발현억제기능이 COX2(60%), iNOS 300에서 다소 억제효과를 보였다.
이상과 같은 점으로 보아 백출의 메탄올과 열수추출물이 식품가공을 통해서 식품이 될 수 있는 가능성은 보여주었다고 할 수 있으며 유방암의 COX-2와 iNOS의 억제증식 효과가 다소 보임으로 isolation과 purification test를 거쳐 좀더 다양하고 정밀하게 검토된다면 임상적 효능을 가져올 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
