This study seeks to present a method which, utilizing traditional fairy tales, can be easily utilized in daily school lessons. It draws upon traditional fairy tales which, imbued as they are with exceptional cultural and linguistic characteristics, serve as an excellent cultural medium, one which has long been used as an effective pedagogical means of helping people assimilate the Korean culture.
Although traditional fairy tales have passed down by word of mouth, they have complete themes and stories. Even they imply the nature of the time's culture and social background.
