Four hundred and fifty bacterial strains were isolated from sustainable agriculture rhizosphere soil. In the course of screening microbial agents for antifungal activity against twelve plant pathogenic fungi of isolate, stain KB 401 showed strong antibiotic activity against Pythium ultimum, Botrytis cinerea and Diaporthe citri.. Based on Phylogenetic analysis through 16S rRNA gene sequence, strain KB 401 was most closely related to Bacillus subtilis NCDO 1769T (X60646)(99.56%). In the greenhouse, cucumber powdery mildew was effectively controlled within ten days by post-treating the formulations of Bacillus subtilis KB 401 fourth times at ten-day intervals in the plastic film house. Bacillus subtilis KB401 could be prospective biofungicide for controlling cucumber powdery mildew and citrus stem end rot. Also Bacillus subtilis KB 401, which showed suppressive effect against several plant pathogens, against cucumber powdery mildew was investigated in the greenhous. When FBs-KB 401 was foliar -sprayed at the early stage of disease developmen, it could show a good activity against cucmber powdery mildew. Practically, in Anan and Cheonan city, FBs-KB 401 diluted by 500times showed a good activity when it was appled three times at 3 day- intervals. Also control effect of the new formulation develoed by mixing with antagonistic microorganism(Bacillus subtilis KB401), botanical active ingredient including teatree extract. Portulaca oleacea, Canolar oil and Castor oil was evaluated against s powdery mildew of ccumber as a limiting factor in the production of cucumber. In addition the synergetic effect among three factors, Bacillus subtilis KB 401, a crude extract of purslane(Portulaca oleracea) and Canolar oil was investigated. It was performed to investigate the controlling activity of Bacillus subtilis KB 401 against cucumber powdery mildew in a greenhouse, with the formulation type of Bacillus subtilis KB401 showing inhibitory effect on mycelial growth of various phytopathogenic fungi. The activity of the formulation type of Bacillus subtilis KB 401 diluted with water by a thousand was inferior to those of Bacillus subtilis KB 401 diluted by a two houndred fifty and five hundred. When Bacillus subtilis KB 401 was applied by a leaf spraying at the early stage of disease development, it could show a good activity against cucumber powdery mildew. Practically, in Asan and Cheonan city the formulation type of Bacillus subtilis KB 401 diluted with water by five hundred showed a good activity when applied three times by 3 day-interval. In this research, the development of mixed product with a microorganism (Bacillus subtilis KB 401), botanical active ingredient(Teatree extract, Portulaca oleracea, Carnola oil, Castor oil et. al) was conducted to control the powdery mildew of cucumber as a limiting factor in the production of cucumber. It was investigated the synergetic effect among three ingredients such as a microorganism, Bacillus subtilis KB 401, a crude extract of purslane(Portulaca oleracea), and Canola oil. Control value of Portulaca oleracea, Canola oil was 83%, 50.6%. To increase the adjuvant, TDE-7 100ppm selected to dispersing agent, 0.6% sodium PCA selected to moisturizer, EFK-UVALINK ADP 100ppm selected to UV-Blocker. And mixed microorganism fungicide formulated by three active ingredient, adjuvant such as, kept the physico-chemical stability of product more than 12 months. In field, the product showed 83.2% control value and increase to 14.1∼15.2% more than only microorganism.
