This study is aimed at figuring out the influences on emotional stability, self-esteem and interpersonal relations of children in low-income families through dramatherapy on the basis of both the EPR Model of S. Jennings and the Story-Telling Model of Gersie and Lahad. The subjects of this study are 20 elementary school students from 2nd to 5th grade in low-income families in J City and are divided by two groups(treatment group and control group) composed of 10 members each. The dramatherapy was mainly carried out for the treatment group-of course, there was no therapy taken for the control group-12 times in total, twice a week from the beginning of January to the middle of February in 2011. In an attempt to scrutinize the change showing in the main factors pertaining to this study such as emotional stability, self-esteem and interpersonal relations, pre-and post-test have been exercised for both the treatment and control group. The test results of this study are as below: Firstly, emotional stability of the subjects has showed a meaningful change in the treatment group after the exercise; however, the control group has indicated nothing remarkable. Secondly, self-esteem as a rule has been better off by the therapy practice. In each subcategory, 'overall self-esteem' and 'self-esteem in family' have presented enhancement on one hand; any significant change in neither 'social self-esteem' nor 'self-esteem in school' has showed on the other hand, not to mention any change not occurring in the control group. Finally, the results after the treatment in interpersonal relations have also appeared to be improved to a considerable extent. That is, its subcategories such as 'communication capability', 'credibility', 'friendliness', 'sensitivity', and 'openness' have brought about a positive outcome. In contrast, it has been unlikely to indicate any predominant token in 'satisfaction' and 'understand' with regard to the study. As a consequence, it would be obvious, according to the results of the test of this study, that the drama-therapy has, for the most part, played a crucial role in positively escalating the effects of such factors as emotional stability, self-esteem and interpersonal relations of children in low-income families taking part in the treatment for this study, which means that this study may be viewed as meaningful endeavor in drawing positive influences by utilizing a way of drama-therapy to have an access to the status quo of the subjects.
