The aim of this paper is to clarify the literary meanings based on the epic space shown in the Jeon Sang Guk’s novels. In the beginning novel world, the problems of the divided reality are dealt and after that period, the problems of the education sites and character inquiries of social evils are emphasized. In addition to the divided problems and character research discussed so far, this paper took the epic spatial inquiry for wide and organic review of his works as problem consciousness. In this connection, it examined specially ‘hometown’, ‘family’, ‘school’ divided from the space of the Jeon Sang Guk’s novels.
Chapter II investigated the spatial problems of the Jeon Sang Guk’s novels based on the connectivity of the spatial notion and literary meaning. First of all, theoretical examination of the literary meaning of the spatial notion was tried.
