This study is to measure the change of middle-aged women's body composition and lipid metabolism by Kendo, so took a sample of some women's blood. They are 16 women's who are members of Kendo society in J city. They were categorized into 8 experimental group, 8 control group and checked about their blood before and after handling. The measure found percentage and number of TC, TG, HDL-C, LDL-C, neutrophil, basophil, eosinophil, monocyte, lymphocyte and collated between experimental and control group. Result is as in the following. 1. Change in the body composition, Body Fat(p<.001%) after Kendo exercising for 8 weeks was significantly reduced. In the comparison between group significantly reduced Body Fat(p<.01%). 2. A blood lipids analysis showed that TC(p<.001), LDL-C(p<.001), TG(p<.001) with Keondo exercising program for 8 weeks was significantly reduced. In the comparison between experimental and control group, the experimental group significantly reduced TC(p<.05), HDL-C(p<.05), LDL-C(p<.001), TG(p<.001). 3. There was no significant difference between both group in the WBC after Keondo exercising program. In the group, the experimental group reduced that significantly the percentage of white blood cell sub population didn't make a strong contrast between two group, but neutrophil was significantly reduced. In both group, there was significant increase in lymphocyte. Monocyte, eosinophil, basophil didn't have difference between two group. According to above research finding, the Keondo exercising is effective for the middle-aged women's maintaining health and promotion. It is considered that the physical stress by aerobic exercise contribute to vitalization of the body's function. It was sure that healthy body, sound mind and enjoyable life are available with the effort.
