This research was conducted targeting professional groups to find out the differences in perception of 'reporting terms' and 'correspondence terms' in case of a food safety accident occurs. A statistics analysis was done on the perception level research and improvement methods targeting a total of 45 people including 28 food safety managers at food corporations and 17 food journalists. As a result, in case of a food safety accident, to the question whether the media has a great influence, 70.6% of the journalists and 92.9% of the corporation workers answer 'yes indeed'. To the perception that the stimulating usage of words of the media is the reason for company damage, 83% of the corporate workers answered 'yes indeed', and 70.6% of the journalists answered 'yes' which meant that both groups had perceptions of stimulating terms causing company damage. To the question whether the 'reporting terms' of the media and the 'correspondence terms' of the government and academia makes a difference in the consumers' perception and the spread of the accident, 92.9% of the corporate workers and 35.3% of the journalists answered 'yes indeed' which implies that both groups showed a common opinion that the difference in choice of words not only expands the perception of consumers but also the spreading of the incident but the corporate workers agreed with this in a more serious manner than the journalist group. In terms of unifying 'reporting terms' and restricting uses, corporate workers are overall at a positive stand and journalists showed a big difference in opinion within the group. It is considered that in case of a food safety accident, in order to reduce the damage done to the consumers and the company, there is a need to establish a measure to unify the terms used by corporations, journalists, and professionals and to decrease the differences.
