These days lots of businesses have special marketing strategies to survive among the competition. It is not a good strategy to specialize in making only one specific kind of product these days. Therefore, those companies that only specialize in one particular sector are now having difficulty surviving in the market. In order to overcome their struggles, the companies have come to an agreement and started working together. As a result, these days businesses concentrate on many types of collaboration strategies to attract consumers who emphasize product differentiation and diversity. Collaboration means working with at least two brands to do a task, managing the business and achieving shared goals. Collaboration makes a synergistic effect with similar enterprises, different enterprises, designer enterprises and enterprises that use celebrities. Moreover, collaboration plays an important role in sales and enhances brand image, customer satisfaction as well as producing high value-added products. On the other hand, collaboration in the field of fashion focuses on only the clothing business. Sport brand PUMA attempted the first collaboration among sports brands. Nevertheless, Studies about sports brand shoes collaboration is very scarce. To come up with a more innovative strategy, we need to case study about the sport brand’s collaborations which are not perfect yet. Therefore, this study examined the concepts of collaboration and brands. Based on these results, this study analyzed the collaboration cases of three brands(NIKE⋅ADIDAS⋅PUMA) which are creative and innovative shoe collaboration cases. Based on these results, this study analyzed the collaboration cases divided into annual, brand identity and collaborative marketing strategy. The study results are as follows: NIKE maintained its basic concept of technical innovation as well as kept concepts innovative with new technology and innovative new designs. To keep up with fast changing trends, NIKE tried collaborations with a game brand, a department store, a clothing brand, and a singer. NIKE showed mixed creative coordination that adopted a diversity of material and innovative technology. So, NIKE got rid of fixed images. Like this, NIKE Concept Design and Color Design, as well as Coordination Design strategy was enhanced. Putting designers from eastern and western culture on the project together, ADIDAS emphasized cultural design and concept design showing mix matched Oriental and Western styles. Moreover, ADIDAS deployed information technology and professional manpower in the store and there is a high correlation with cluster design. ADIDAS emphasized communication with consumers and strengthened communication design while continuing two-way communication through customer participation public relations and social media. PUMA has enhanced their brand identity by adding feminine concept over their own concept which is related to soccer. PUMA changed their logo’s color from green to red in order to project an image of luxury. It infused the brand with a new and enthusiastic vigor. In addition, PUMA commissioned Black Station Line with exclusive contract designers and then showed continuous collaboration. PUMA was upgraded to high-grade brand image by giving their products a characteristic mark and number. Through this strategy⋅concept design⋅color design as well as the coordination design were improved. Throughout these case studies, Global sports brands carried out a variety of collaborations with various industries, which are closely related to each brand’s identity and focused on brand image. Therefore, the collaboration is not a temporary strategy or a event. It is sustainable marketing that creates high added value. According to this study, It is hoped that these study findings would help domestic sport brands which have not yet tried collaborative marketing strategies.
