Companies and societies have affected each other beyond the relationship of selling and buying products, so they cause not only various social and economic problems but also corporate ethical issue. In this circumstance companies as a member of society realized their social responsibility , so they tried to re-distribute social wealth through CSR(Corporate Social Responsibility). But demands of fundamental solution for social problems increases, now the CSR encounters the barrier itself. CSV(Creating Shared Value) appears as an enlarged solution adjusting CSR's limitation and a new way of business paradigm, and CSV is being focused because it is an integrated process for seeking both corporate profit and social benefit. This is critical difference between CSR and CSV, which the CSR separated. This study uses the Ohlson's accounting valuation model to test the effect of CSR and CSV on corporate value. With a data set of 300 cases from year 2005 to 2011 collected through the KEJI(Korea Economic Justice Institute) index as CSR and CSV, the result shows that CSR and CSV has no relevance with corporate value. This study is different from other research for studying relevance between corporate value and CSV instead of CSR, and including consideration of the effectiveness of KEJI Index as substitute for CSV. And the result from this study suggests that measuring CSV should be designed for further research and putting CSV into financial statement as intangible asset which could enhance the corporate value estimation.
