The class is a place where teachers and students get to affect many each other through communication. Albert Mehrabian(2009) has announced the research results that linguistic communication accounts for only 7% of the entire communication and elements of non-verbal communication accounts for 93%. There are differences of opinion in each scholar, but most scholars have argued that nonverbal communication affects students more than linguistic communication. The purpose of this study is to know whether teacher's nonverbal communication have the significant difference to influence in class by students characteristics. Therefore, teachers can be an appropriate non-verbal communication acts. Furthermore, they are able to understand what the non-verbal communication affecting positively in the class is. the research agenda are as follows to achieve the purpose of the research ; First, Does teacher's nonverbal communication have a significant difference to influence in class by student gender? Second, Does teacher's nonverbal communication have a significant difference to influence in class by grade? Third, Does teacher's nonverbal communication have a significant difference to influence in class by Academic achievement level? Fourth, Does teacher's nonverbal communication have a significant difference to influence in class by Self-directed learning ability level? In order to solve the problem of the study, this study was divided into four types(Kinesics, Proxemics, Paralanguage, Artificial signals) of teacher's non-verbal communication based on the theory of non- verbal communication. And, Characteristics of the students were classified gender, grade, Academic achievement level, Self-directed learning ability level. Class was divided concentration, interest, academic achievement. And investigated and analyze a questionnaire. The results are as follows: First, gender difference was showed that female students were generally more responsive than the male students in nonverbal communication of teacher. But, male students were more responsive than the female students in the case of a teacher's clothes and makeup. Second, grade difference was showed that middle school sophomore and high school sophomore were generally more responsive than other grade. Third, Academic achievement level difference showed that students taking high level in academic achievement were more sensitive response than low level for teacher's nonverbal communication. Fourth, Difference of self-directed learning ability level showed that students taking high level in self-directed learning ability were usually more sensitive response than low level for teacher's nonverbal communication. The proposals are as follows: First, teachers should use positive non-verbal communication depending on the characteristics of the class and school. Second, Teachers of middle school sophomore must be careful to use non-verbal communication and must understand them correctly for proper teaching. Third, Teachers must sublate negative non-verbal communication because it is a negative impact on the class. Fourth, We need to diversify the types of non-verbal communication, systematize it. A variety of training courses for nonverbal communication helps make class to communicate with teachers and students.
