Also, the Korean adolescent Ego-identity scale by Ah-Chung Park(2003) was used to measure the ego-identity and SNS addiction proneness was measured using the scale developed by So-Yeong Jeong, Jong-Nam Kim(2014). The frequency analysis, t-test, ANOVA, correlation analysis, and regression analysis were carried out using SPSS 20.0 for the date analysis. The summary of this study result is as follows. First, 82.2% of college students were using SNS and most of them used Facebook. Almost all college students were Using SNS less than 1 hour and a half every day, posting contents 0~2 times a week, and they were linked with about 260 friends. Also, it was shown they were using SNS to know their friends’ recent status and contact them. Second, as a result of examining if there was a difference in the college students’ SNS addiction proneness depending on the sex, ego-identity level, and SNS use features, there was no significant difference between men and women in the SNS addiction proneness. However, there was a significant difference in SNS adjustment failure & daily life disorder and evasion of SNS inconstant emotion among sub-factors. Also, a significant difference appeared in SNS addiction proneness according to the ego-identity level, the number of SNS use, and SNS use time. However, there was no significant difference between the number of SNS friends in the SNS addiction proneness. Third, to examine the correlation among SNS use features, ego-identity, and SNS addiction proneness, SNS use features appeared to have the significant positive relationship with the SNS addiction proneness and ego-identity showed the significant negative relationship with the SNS addiction proneness. Fourth, as a result of examining the effect of SNS use features and ego-identity on SNS addiction proneness, SNS use time, self-expression, relationship & communication, and ego-identity appeared as the variable explaining the SNS addiction proneness the best. To be specific, it was revealed that only the self-receptiveness and intimacy among the ego-identity sub-factors were the factor that predicted the SNS addiction proneness. To synthesize these study results, it is confirmed the SNS use features and ego-identity is influencing the SNS addiction proneness. This study can be used as a policy alternative for raising the understanding of college student SNS use and the right SNS use by college student and can provide the basic material for SNS addiction prevention.
