따라서 본 연구는 난임 여성이 임신에만 집중해 있던 것에서 벗어나 자신을 바라보고 성장할 수 있도록 돕는 계기를 마련하였으며, 이들의 심리적 중재를 위한 기초 자료로써 사용하는데 그 의미가 있을 것이다.

This study was made in order to examine what effect a group art treatment had on stress, anxiety and depression of women who had psychological health difficulties due to infertility.
The subjects of study were composed of 10 30~40-year-old women who spontaneously applied for and hoped to participated in art treatment program among women who were diagnosed as having infertility problem and were being treated or had been treated in M infertility clinic.
With regard to the duration of study, the study has been made from 13 May 2014 to 1 July 2014. And 8-session structured program was operated in total, 100 minutes per session, once per week for 8 weeks. And in order to re-evaluate the study, infertility stress scale(ISS), Beck Anxiety Inventory(BAI), and Beck Depression Inventory(BDI) questionnaire, House-Tree-Person, and Draw-A-Story test was carried out before and after the program. And their changes were comparatively analyzed.
According to the results of study, through the group art treatment, the negative affect of the infertile women's stress, anxiety and depression was significantly decreased. In particular, it was shown that a positive effect was produced on the sense of worth and obsessive thought factor in stress scale sub-factors, subjective anxiety and autonomic neurological anxiety factor in the sub-factors of anxiety inventory, and all sub-factors of depression inventory.
In this study, it was possible to verify that infertile women could recover positive viewpoint through getting out of negative perception by investigating and understanding their repressed affect through the group art treatment as mentioned above, and they regained hope because psychological distress was relieved as they experienced the process of sharing common difficulties and mutual consolation through support among the members of group.
Therefore, this study is significant in that it provided an opportunity to help infertile women see themselves and grow by getting out of concentration on pregnancy only, and could be used as baseline data for psychological intervention.
