This study is a descriptive causal relationship structure analysis study that aimed to establish a hypothetical model by analyzing multi-dimensional causes related to multicultural family adaptation of the immigrant women and to test the validity of the model and the proposed hypothesis.
The study subjects included immigrant women lived in Seoul and Gyeonggi. A total of 280 questionnaires were distributed of 267 were collected. After the exclusion of 23 inadequate questionnaires, 244 questionnaires were ultimately selected for this study. The data collection period was June 1 to September 20, 2013.
SPSS for Window 18.0 and LISREL 8.5 Statistics Package were used for the data analysis. Structural equation modeling analysis was applied to the final model analysis, which tests convergent and discriminant validity using higher-order factor analysis.
The study results were as follows: 1. There was an positive correlation between social support, family heath, economic security, child relationships, depression, perceived health, stress, problem solving skills, self resilience, family adaptation.
2. Family adaptation is social support, family, health, economic security, child relationships, depression, perceived health, stress, problem solving skills, communication skills, self-resilience and there was a correlation.
3. There was a family adaptive self resilience, social support, family health, economic security, child relationships, depression, perceived health, stress, problem solving skills, communication skills and relationships.
To clarify the reciprocal causal relationships between variables affecting immigrant women in multicultural families adapt as a result of this study, we build a structural model to describe the family adapt and predict, to explain the theoretical models for predicting and adapting to family contributed to the theory developed into practice.
