The purpose of this dissertation is to analyze the long-term effect of exercise on pulmonary function, cardio-pulmonary function and heavy metal accumulation in the body from high density air pollution. Specifically, my focus is on the long-term benefits of excercise on pulmonary function, blood pressure(stable, maximal exercise), cardio pulmonary function and heavy metal accumulation in one’s hair despite exposure to high density air pollution. The Subject group consists of 148 people; 50 university students not majoring in physical education, 50 university students majoring in physical education, and 48 elite athletes. Each subgoup is half male and half female. The Spirometer(Italy), Sphygmomanometer(USA), Bicycle ergometer(Sweden), Quark B2(Italy), and ICP-MS(USA) were used to analyzing these factors. The data was analyzed statically using 2×3 two-way ANOVA to account for the differences. The results are as follows: First, regarding pulmonary function, there are significant differences between university students not majoring in physical education(NMPE) and university student majoring in physical education(MPE). As well as, there are significant differences between sex, but there are no interacting effects. Second, regarding systolic blood pressure, there are significant differences between NMPE and elite athletes(p<.01) as well as between sex(p<.001) but there are no interacting effects. In diastolic blood pressure there are no significant differences between the subgroups and sex, nor interacting effects. Thirdly, regarding systolic blood pressure after exercise, there are no significant differences between NMPE and elite athletes, but between sex, there are significant differences(p<.001). Adversely there are no interacting effects. For diastolic blood pressure at the end of exercise situation, there are no significant differences between groups nor sex, but there are interacting effects. Fourthly, regarding cardio-pulmonary function, there are significant differences among NMPE, MPE and elite athletes. Adversely there are not significant differences between sex nor interacting effects. Fiftly, among heavy metal accumulation, Cadium, Mercury, Aluminum and Chrome are effected by exercise. There are significant differences among subgroups, sex, and interacting effects. According to this research, long-term and regular exercise can be an important factor which reduces the density of heavy metals accumulating in the body, especially Cadium, Mercury, Aluminum and Chrome. Thus, it is deduced that long-term exercise and sweating in polluted areas can be an important factor for one's health.
