The purpose of this study is to investigate the expression techniques applied to the clothes with Japanese traditional aesthetic sense and the de-constructivism of Derrida as theoretical basis so as to figure out the reasons for the success of Japanese global fashion design which can be the reference of the Chinese fashion design. Taking Issey Miyake, Yohji Yamamoto and Rei Kawakubo who showed Japanese traditional aesthetic sense with a new trend in the Paris collection, this study is to analyze the identities of their designs. Japanese traditional aesthetic sense can be divided into the beauty of embellishment and the beauty of the non-embellishment. The beauty of embellishment is showed through artificial decoration with the status of kimono, the use of traditional pattern like the use of golden, silver and iki color, geometric pattern and flower pattern. The beauty of non-embellishment is showed with the method like the moderation of decoration, the use of non-color, the margin beauty of ink-and-wash painting and the presentation of the incomplete status of a complete work. In addition, the characteristics of the de-constructivism applied to the fashion are accepted as the transfiguration, mutual context, the uncertainty of the meaning and the decomposition. The transfiguration breaks the concept of class in the clothes by transcending the time and space through the reconstruction of the past style. The mutual context can be divided into the vagueness of gender, the deconstruction of items and materials, the underwear becoming outer garments. The uncertainty of meaning can be presented with the no form expression technique. This technique can be showed in different forms according to the clothes-wearing method. The decomposition destroys the structure of western clothes and shows the decompositional forms through the methods of ignoring the proportion or the distortion of silhouette. Accordingly, the identities of Issey Miyake, Yohji Yamamoto and Rei Kawakubo which takes the Japanese traditional aesthetic sense and the de-constructivism of Derrida as theoretical basis are as follows. Issey Miyake introduced modern thoughts to the traditional clothes elements constantly and showed the new traditional beauty to the western fashion circle. Moreover, Issey Miyake thinks that the natural form of human body is the most beautiful status. He uses the creative pleats wrinkles and flat cutting method to show the variability and the beauty of human body in the clothes according to the movement. Therefore, Issey Miyake successfully de-construct and globalize the traditional clothes. Yohji Yamamoto prefers black color and proved that black is the most beautiful color. Moreover, the works of Yohji Yamamoto are creative and showed interestingly with, non-structural and asymmetric way. Like Kawakubo Rei, without the restriction of the stereotype of clothes, he formed a trend of destroyed fashion and half-destroyed fashion. The Comme des Garçons of Rei Kawakubo forms new decomposition through the distortion of human body and the removal of functions and shows the beauty of poverty. By destroying the gender and human body, beauty of no form is showed. Furthermore, with the attempt of various clothes-wearing method like tying, bundling, wrapping and slipping and the use of the uncertainty expression techniques of the meaning of de-constructivism, Rei Kawakubo gives the value of new beauty to the no form and incomplete ugliness. Through the study above, the reason of the success of Japanese fashion design is not because of the use of traditional aesthetic sense but because of the global sympathy through the reconstruction of the expression techniques of de-constructivism.
