This study using Korean Health Panel's data, analyzes factors influencing health behaviors and health status of the elderly's over 65 years old according to their demographic characteristics and socioeconomic status. This aims at figuring out the elderly's health inequality situations in demographic and disease structures with aging and chronicity and providing basic data required for improving health status and for policies responding to aging phenomena. For the sources for the study, annual data of Korea Health Panel during 2008 and 2013(Version 1.2.2) by both KIHASA and NHIC was used as raw material. Among them, the latest data, the source in 2013 was used for secondary analysis on 2,983 old people over 65 years old. In order to measure relations between health behaviors and health status of the elderly's according to their socioeconomic status and demographic characteristics, SPSS Version 23.0 program, the statistical package was used for the analysis, and for the analysis methods, depending on the purpose of the study, frequency analysis, descriptive analysis, lineal regression analysis, logistic regression analysis, and hierarchical regression analysis were used. The conclusion based on the analysis results of the study and the discussion are as follows: First, for reviewing factors influencing number of chronic diseases, male in gender, younger elderly in the elderly and engaging in economic activities in whether to engage in it, and subjective recognition in higher class showed decreasing number of chronic diseases. Also, smoking in whether not to smoke, and no physical activities(walking) showed increasing number of chronic diseases. Marital status, educational attainment, income level, and recommendation for not drinking had no statistically significant influences on increasing and decreasing number of chronical diseases. Therefore, demographic characteristics(male and younger elderly), socioeconomic status(engaging in economic activities and recognition in class), and health behaviors (smoking and walking physical activities) are factors influencing number of chronic diseases. Second, for reviewing factors influencing subjective health status, male in gender, engaging in economic activities in whether to engage in it, conducting regular physical activities(walking) in participation in physical activities(walking), and subjective recognition in higher class showed evaluation in higher subjective health status. Also, in educational attainment and income level, each level is lower, subjective health status was evaluated lower. Marital status, elderly, recommendation for not drinking, and whether not to smoke did not have statistically significant influences on subjective health status. Accordingly, demographic characteristics(male), socioeconomic status(educational attainment, economic activities, income level, and recognition in class), and health behaviors(walking physical activities) are factors influencing subjective health status. Third, for reviewing factors influencing depression, male in gender, lower educational attainment in educational attainment, engaging in economic activities in whether to engage in it, and higher income in income level, regular physical activities(walking) in participation in physical activities(walking), and subjective recognition in higher showed lower possibilities for depression. Marital status, elderly, whether to have economic activities, recommendation for not drinking, and whether not to smoke did not have statistically significant influence on depression. Accordingly, demographic characteristics(male), socioeconomic status(educational attainment, economic activities, income level, and recognition in class), and health behaviors(walking physical activities) are factors influencing depression. Fourth, for reviewing factors influencing suicide attempt, married or co-habited in marital status, higher income in income level, regular physical activities(walking) in participation in physical activities(walking), and subjective recognition in higher class showed higher possibilities of suicide attempt. Gender, elderly, educational attainment, whether to have economic activities, recommendation for not drinking, and whether not to smoke had no statistically significant influences on suicide attempt. Therefore, demographic characteristics(married or co-habited), socioeconomic status (income level and recognition in class), and health behaviors(walking physical activities) are factors influencing suicide attempt. Fifth, for reviewing factors to limit daily activities, male in gender, older elderly in the elderly lower educational attainment in educational attainment, no economic activities in whether to engage in it, and subjective recognition in lower class showed higher possibilities in limiting in daily lives if they do not regular physical activities(walking) in participation in physical activities(walking). Marital status, elderly, income level, recommendation for not drinking, whether not to smoke did not have statistically significant influences on limiting in daily activities. Therefore, demographic characteristics(male and older elderly), socioeconomic status (educational attainment, economic activities, and recognition in class), and health behaviors(walking physical activities) are factors influencing limiting in daily activities. Sixth, for reviewing physical activities(walking), male in gender, older elderly in the elderly, and no economic activities in whether to engage in it, and recognition in lower class in subjective recognition in class showed higher regular physical activities(walking). Marital status, educational attainment, income level, recommendation for not drinking, and whether not to smoke do not have statistical significant influences on physical activities(walking). Therefore, demographic characteristics(male and older elderly) and socioeconomic status (economic activities and recognition in class) are factors influencing physical activities(walking). The problem of health inequality and aging society according to the elderly's socioeconomic status should be comprehensively considered. Based on the elderly's health inequality alleviation policies for improving educational level, which is complicated, maintaining income level, and promoting sustainable economic activities, in local society's health care fields, it is necessary to conduct studies for policies to execute, extend, and invigorate practical aging society health care improvement program recognizing importance of improvement of the elderly's health behaviors and reflecting experts' opinions from the field.
