모유수유 어머니의 양육스트레스, 남편의 지지가 모유수유 적응에 미치는 영향 The influence of parenting stress and husband's support on breast-feeding adaptation of breast-feeding mothers원문보기

This study aims to investigate the influence on maternal adaptation to breast-feeding. The study was conducted with 181 mothers residing in J city and currently breast-feeding four weeks after giving birth, which corresponds to the timing of settlement for breast-feeding adaptation. The tool used for assessing parenting stress was based on the 14 questions developed by Cutrona (1984) and used by Song, Ju Eun (2007), excluding one question according to the deliberation of the Research Ethics Review Committee. The tool used for assessing husband's support was based on Taylor (1974)’s tool to monitor emotional support and Lee, Hye Kyung (1992)’s tool to monitor physical support and was modified by Bae, Ji Young (2015). The tool used for evaluating breast-feeding adaptation was developed by Kim, Sun Hee (2009). SPSS/WIN ver 21.0 was used to process the collected data, and frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation, t-test, ANOVA, Scheffé test, Pearson correlation, and stepwise regression analysis were used for analyses in accordance with the study purposes. The results are summarized as follows. A negative correlation was found between breast-feeding adaptation and parenting stress (r=-.619, 𝑝<.001), whereas a positive correlation was found between husband's support and breast-feeding adaptation (r=.355, 𝑝<.001), and a negative correlation between husband's support and parenting stress (r=-.180, 𝑝=.015). Factors that affect breast-feeding adaptation were found in the order of parenting stress (β=-.54, 𝑝<.001), husband's support (β=.31, 𝑝=.008), current feeding style (β=.31 𝑝<.001), and baby’s age (β=.14, 𝑝=.010), with the explanation power at approximately 56% (F=58.56, 𝑝<.001).
