In this study, Idebenone based several compounds were synthesized and analyzed for its bio-active properties towards pharmaceuticals and cosmetics applications. Here, we have modified the parent idebenone structure with acetyl salicylic acid, benzoic acid, salicylic acid, Palmitic acid and Linoleic Acid by using N,N'-diisopropylcarbodiimide(DIC) directed esterification reaction to achieve our target molecules. All of synthesized target molecules, namely 10-(4,5-dimethoxy-2-met -hyl-3,6-dioxocyclohexa-1,4-dien-1-yl)decyl 2-acetoxybenzoate, 10-( 4,5-dimethoxy-2-methyl-3,6-dioxocyclohexa-1,4-dien-1-yl)decyl benzoate, 10-(4,5-dime-thoxy-2-methyl-3,6-dioxocyclohexa-1,4-dien-1-yl)decyl-2-hydroxybenz-oate, 10-(4,5-dimethoxy-2-methyl-3,6-diox-ocyclohexa-1,4-dien-1-yl)decyl pentadecanoate, and (9Z,12Z)-9-(4,5- dimethoxy-2-methyl-3,6-dioxocyclohexa-1,4-dien-1-yl)decyl octadeca-9,12-dienoate were characterized by 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR spectroscopy, IR spectroscopy and Mass spectrometry. All of the synthsized materials were subjected to biological study to understand the bioactive properties. Our materials did not exhibit any toxicity towards different types of cell experiments and also compound 3 was shown Tyrosinase inhibition and melanin content assay leads to provide whitening effect on skin. Anti inflammatory effect of compound 3 was one of the positive result in our current study. We will apply further studies to ensure the bio active properties to improve our research in near future.
