(Communication and Behavior Scales Developmental Profile; CSBS ...
영아의 어휘력은 MCDI-K(The MacArthur Communicative Development Inventory-Korea)를 사용하여 측정하였다.

This study investigated the age differences and the relations among communication behaviors of 10~18-month infants, mothers' verbal behaviors and the contingency of verbal response, and infants’ vocabulary skills. The subjects were 86 pairs of 10~18 month old infants and their mothers in Seoul and Gyeong Gi, and they were categorized into three groups of 10~12 months (Group1), 13~15 months (Group2), 16~18 months(Group3). The communication behaviors of the infants were analyzed by adding the ‘communicative gaze’ to the observation categories of the Communication and Behavior Scale Developmental Profile(CSBS-DP, 2002), which were used by Lee & Kim(2006). Mothers' verbal behaviors were classified into ‘supportive behavior’ and ‘intrusive bahavior’ according to the analysis criteria of Masur, Flynn & Lloyd(2013) and then classified more specifically according to their verbal functions. The contingency of mother's verbal response was analyzed on the basis of Yule's Q index for mother's supportive verbal behavior within 3 seconds after infant communication behavior. The infant's vocabulary was measured using the MCDI-K(The MacArthur Communicative Development Inventory-Korea). In order to observe the infant-mother interaction, the researchers visited individual homes and videotaped their free play for 20 minutes, and the infant vocabulary test was distributed to the parents. Interactions were recorded using The Observer XT 13.0, and the data were analyzed by calculating correlation coefficient and partial correlation coefficient and one-way ANOVA using SPSS 23.0. The findings of the study were as follows: First, infant communication behaviors were different according to the age group. That is, the higher the age, the greater the amount of gestures and utterances, and the amount of other gazes decreased. Second, mother's verbal behaviors were significantly different according to the age group. In other words, mothers of older infant used more supportive behaviors more and less intrusive behaviors. Third, there was no significant difference in the contingency of mother's verbal behaviors according to the age group. Fourth, the relationship between mother 's verbal behavior and infant vocabulary power varied according to the age group. Mother’s supportive directives in group 1, mother’s intrusive questions in group 2, and mother’s supportive questions in group 3 were significantly related to infant’s vocabulary skills. Fifth, when the infant's age was controlled, the mother' verbal responses were partially related to infant’s vocabulary. The contingency of mother's verbal response to the infant's communicative gaze and utterance was significantly related to infant’s vocabulary skills. In conclusion, although the infant communication behaviors and the mothers' verbal behaviors vary according to the age of infants, the contingency of mother’s verbal response is not related to infant’s age. The relationship between the mother's verbal behaviors and the infant vocabulary skills was different according to the age group, and the contingency of the mother’s verbal response was related to the infant's vocabulary sklils regardless of the infant's age.
