In this paper, compared the advertising effects of Uzbekistan and Korea, focusing on Hofstede's cultural variables. Specifically, in Uzbekistan and South Korea, it is necessary to confirm the attitudes of advertisements according to model gender (male vs. female), especially the effects of advertising atmosphere (business vs. daily life) and advertising model expression (seriousness vs. enjoyment). The purpose of this study is to clarify the effect of advertising attitude on product attitude. In order to verify this goal, this study was produced and distributed in 8 types of questionnaires in Uzbek and Korean. In other words, a total of 400 Uzbek questionnaires were excluded from college students, graduate students, office workers, and ordinary people live in Uzbekistan's capital city Tashkent. A total of 400 Korean questionnaires were excluded from college students, graduate students, ordinary people live in Seoul, Busan, Gyeongsangbuk-do.
As a result of the research, 1) The masculinity of Uzbekistan was confirmed to be stronger than that of Korea. In other words, Uzbekistan social roles of men and women has been clearly identified, but in Korea will be evaluated as a fluid social roles of men and women can confirm that the man is not without a dominant male and female are equal society. The advertisement attitude according to model gender was controlled according to advertisement atmosphere (business vs. daily life). In case of Uzbekistan, the male model had a higher attitude toward business atmosphere and the female model had higher attitude toward daily life atmosphere. And in case of Korea in the business atmosphere, daily life atmosphere there was no difference in the attitude of advertising according to model gender. 3) The ad model expression (seriousness vs. enjoyment) showed a moderating effect on the relationship between model gender and advertisement attitude. In other words, the male model in Uzbekistan showed a more serious expression than the pleasant expression, and the female model showed a higher attitude toward the pleasant expression than the serious expression. In the case of Korea, it was confirmed that there was no difference in advertising attitude according to model gender in both serious and pleasant expressions.
These results suggest that there is a cultural difference between male and female characters between Uzbekistan and Korea, and therefore marketing practitioners should consider the appropriate consideration when producing advertisements in the global market. In addition, according to the results of the research differences in Hofstede's masculinity dimension factors between Uzbekistan and Korea presented in this study, Korean companies that enter Uzbekistan contribute to the theoretical-practical implication to manage their image and brand.
