The purpose of this study is to analyse the effect of the organizational culture of flight attendants on job satisfaction and customer orientation. The results of this analysis are intended to provide basic data on marketing strategies to achieve the airline's performance as well as the human resources management aspects of flight attendants that will result in the company's performance. For the collection of data for the empirical analysis, flight attendants working at the airline were used for the analysis based on data from 307 valid data collected from 1 March 2018 to 31 March 2018. The circuit analysis was conducted using SPSS 22.0, a technical statistics program, and the analysis results were derived for the effects of each configuration. First, rational culture, hierarchical culture, and development culture of four factors in the organization culture were found to have a significant impact on customer orientation, and only relationships and work satisfaction among two factors of job satisfaction were derived. Second, verification of the impact relationship between job satisfaction and customer orientation shows that only two sub-factors of job satisfaction, compensation satisfaction, relationships and work satisfaction, relationships and work satisfaction have a significant impact on customer orientation. Third, it was found that rational culture, hierarchical culture, and development culture have a significant impact on customer orientation among the four sub-factors of organizational culture. The academic significance of this study is as follows. The importance of the organizational culture was revealed by comprehensively researching the impact relationship between each factor, identifying the special organizational culture of the flight attendants, and identifying the impact on job satisfaction and customer orientation. In this study, it is meaningful that the two factors of job satisfaction were derived to identify the impact relationship by dividing it into compensation satisfaction and relationship and work satisfaction. The empirical significance and implications of this study are as follows: First, it was found that group culture has the greatest impact on relationships and work satisfaction. It is believed to reflect the characteristics of flight attendants, who will work on a monthly schedule and must work in concert with the new team members on each flight. Second, there is a significant impact on improving the relationship and work satisfaction of flight attendants to improve the customer orientation. Accordingly, it was proposed that the working environment, such as introducing a mentoring system for each flight service, should be established to ensure relationship and work satisfaction of the flight attendants working on an individual flight schedule. Third, the development culture of flight attendants’ organizational culture has negative effects. This means that the higher the culture of development, the lower the customer orientation. Therefore, when introducing a power generation culture, the airline should systematically investigate and reflect the working conditions and abnormalities of flight attendants. They should also determine if they are willing to accept and provide specific work plans. Accordingly, the plan was proposed to enable airlines to understand the organization culture of flight attendants in order to build competitiveness between airlines and to develop customer orientation and to operate the organization more efficiently.
