The purpose of this study is to provide basic data for the development and quality improvement of street dance education by identifying the actual condition of education field through examination of street dance education status and analyzing the current status of practical education with various factors through the survey. For the purpose of the study, a total of 791 copies of the questionnaire were distributed to students majoring in street dance in institutions with credit bank system. A total of 789 copies were used. The survey was drawn up based on the questionnaire used in the preceding studies, with revision and complement according to the topic of the research. The questionnaire contains frequency analysis, reliability test, exploratory factor analysis, frequency analysis by questions, difference analysis by groups and factors, and correlation analysis. Through analysis, the following conclusions were obtained. First, regarding the current status of street dance education, professors and students communicate well and students have a high level of understanding of their major courses. However, theoretical classes are insufficient within the major courses. Thus, establishment of theories for cultivating professional street dance talents is required. Second, most of the street dance courses are conducted with routine class where the instructor teaches a dance move and the students follow. Yet the education contents are limited, and the curriculum provided for each grade is non-systematic. For the cultivation of professional talents, credit banking institutions need to manage a systematic curriculum which is different from private institute’s classes, considering grade and level of the students. Third, though street dance education environment was found to be well-equipped with facilities in a clean space, many responded that it was inconvenient due to the lack of facilities and limited time to use the practice room. Therefore, financial investment or reform in use policies is required in order to increase the amount of facilities and the time available for use. Fourth, street dance instructors have high level of expertise and are enthusiastically interacting with students. Nevertheless, the lack of instructors is pointed out as a limitation, so it is necessary to hire more professors for each major. Fifth, it has been confirmed that students who major in street dance are highly satisfied with their study on the courses, with many of them responding that it was a valuable experience to take the course, being able to acquire a lot of knowledge and information. Sixth, it has been indicated in the survey that students majoring in street dance value the successful completion of the course and are willing to continue learning, as they responded that they will successfully finish the course rather than quitting halfway, despite hardship.
