The purpose of this study is to investigate whether autonomous English learning is possible for preschoolers in an online learning environment. An important factor for successful online learning is the learner's autonomy factor, but few studies have been applied to preschool children. However, the recent development of ICT (Information and Communication Technology) along with the 4th Industrial Revolution has provided various e-learning online environments for Korean children's English learning environment. Therefore, in this research, we examine the possibility of learning the autonomy of children in the online learning environment, and set the research subjects as follows. First, how does online-based English learning environment affect children's autonomy? Second, how does online-based English learning environment affect children's reading achievement? In order to investigate the above research problem, this study applied the online English program reconstructed according to the English education environment in Korea to the kindergarten English special aptitude class and provided 824 children with online English learning environment and online library environment for 10 months respectively. And the change of the log data in the program was grasped and predicted whether the child was autonomous or not. Research data analysis results show that self-accessing English learning spaces, actual reading of books, and ongoing personal learning activities of the online program that is central to this research are an important part of all research. Therefore, we conclude the following conclusions based on the data presented in the study results. First, the online-based English learning environment has had a positive impact on children's autonomous learning. All children showed more than 90% online connection rate, showed fast adaptability to the self - access learning space, and at the same time, they showed positive and diverse changes by showing the actual effect of reading and book index improvement. In addition, by confirming the continuous increase in connection rate and the amount of learning, it is shown that even if the preschool child learners are given appropriate environment and training, they can develop their ability to select and study the contents. Second, online-based English learning environment has a positive effect on children's reading achievement. All children in the study demonstrated an average reading of approximately 74 books over a 10-month period and a nearly 90-point improvement in the reading comprehension index (Lexile), demonstrating a positive effect on reading achievement. Children were able to read books that matched their ability to read English through the recommended books provided on the individual study boards of the online program, which provided very interesting results that consistently improved their own reading scores.
