XP-SWMM을 이용한 분류식 하수처리구역의 RDII(Rainfall-Derived Infiltration/Inflow) 예측을 통한 하수도시설 개선방안 연구 Sewerage improvement by predicting rainfall-derived infiltration/inflow in separate sewer system using XP-SWMM원문보기
(Dry Weather ...

Designing the facility and operating sewage treatment plant(STP), the domestic sewer system is not considering the influence of rainfall-induced infiltration/inflow(RDII). And there is insufficient research by monitoring long-term flow on the quantitative analysis of RDII. Even if most of combined sewer system has been converted to separate sewer system, this study is focusing on the section where some combined sewer system exists in sewage treatment area.
It concentrates on the area where the sewage facility needs to be maintained during dry and wet weather when exceeding the sewage level. And we are evaluating the impact of RDII for analyzing and reducing in sewage treatment area by monitoring flow rate and water quality. The allowance of RDII for designing rainfall of 10~70mm was examined through simulation technique using SSOAP and XP-SWMM model.
As a result, the dry weather flow(DWF) of the S STP was 42,881㎥/day, the average flow quality of the BOD5 was 154.4mg/L, and the wet weather flow(WWF) was 53,957㎥/day, and the average influent water quality was analyzed as BOD5 139.6mg/L. The amount of I/I generated in dry weather was 12,623㎥/day, and the amount of RDII generated in wet weather was 13,317㎥ at 28.1mm of daily rainfall. This comes from the place where drainage equipment is not maintained in separate sewer system and faulty section caused by existing sewer installation which is old in the sewage treatment area.
Assuming that the reducible I/I is 80~95% for the actual sewerage facility maintenance, the cumulative rainfall for the last 30 years for the aRDII estimation in wet weather in A sewage treatment area is analyzed. And RDII emissions were simulated based on the daily rainfall of 10~70mm in the design rainfall corresponding to the rainfall cumulative probability 33.3~95.8%. At present, RDII is generated from 8,665~43,188㎥ according to the designed rainfall, and it is predicted that the RDII generation will be reduced to 6,690~33,287㎥ after improvement of the interceptor/main sewer and storm overflow chamber.
As a result, influent sewerage flow rate based on 10~70mm design rainfall was 51,619~86,143㎥/day before improvement and 44,846~71,443㎥/day after improvement, and it was reduced by 6,773~14,700㎥/day. It is analyzed that the effect of reducing I/I by the improvement of interceptor/main sewer is the largest.
In 2020, the expansion is planned that STP capacity 58,000㎥/day reflected in the 18,000㎥/day. However, the amount of incoming sewage will be 54,260~82,629㎥/day considering the additional RDII due to the sewage of 8,243㎥/day in the future and expansion of sewage treatment area. Accordingly it is necessary to take measures against excess aRDII.
Through this, it is recognized that the rainfall can enter the sewage treatment area, and I/I reduction measures should be established through long-term monitoring in sewage treatment area and aRDII should be estimated. And it should be reflected in the sewage system improvement plan. In order to manage the aRDII in the future and to optimize sewage facilities, the effect of RDII on interceptor/main sewer, non-maintenance drainage equipment, regional characteristics and economic feasibility needs to be considered.
