Art is developing rapidly in modern society. Dance is defined as comprehensive art through its combination with other arts and pluralization, which plays a leading role in combining technology and machines into dance. Dance is an art that represents movement through the dancer's choreography, which has a common characteristic with Kinetic Art, which is based on pure movement, if dance is a dynamic movement by choreography, then Kinetic Art is a dynamic movement by objects. Kinetic art is the first art to introduce movement through the combination of science and art, and uses artificial light in addition to actual movement or induce a viewer participation. Artists are attempting new experiments on motion, and Kinetic Art is developing into original art through diverse fields and collaboration. The use of Kinetic art in dance conveys the theme of dance works more efficiently. While the visual art of dance approaches the audience through one-sided communication, the dance combined with Kinetic Art is able to interact with each other by utilizing a variety of factors. Thus, the combination of dance and Kinetic art, which has the homogeneity of real movement, through the body of a moving dancer is being tried variously in terms of creative and creative art. In this study, the motion of Kinetic art was classified as natural and artificial. Through case analysis in the Kinetic art, fashion and dance field, we seek to derive formality and apply common formulation to dance costume. It wants to use Lillipad Aduno and various types of LEDs to produce light-Kinetic art dance costume. To overcome the limitation of dance, Kinetic art is applied to dance costume to effectively communicate the theme of dance work. As such, dance costumes that apply Kinetic art, which incorporates Kinetic art, fashion and dance, for the purpose of research in deriving common formality through the combination of dance and other arts, are meaningful in opening a new chapter in dance costume. The research methods are literature materials in the fields of Kinetic art, fashion and dance, academic papers and journals published in Korea, and websites in the field of art. It was analyzed by referring to exhibitions and dance performances, fashion collections and various domestic and foreign magazines. After understanding the concept and expression method of Kinetic art and eliciting a common formulation, eight pieces of dance costume design works were produced. Based on the concept of Kinetic art and two classifications, this study derived four kinds of formative properties and analyzed the representative works of four Kinetic artists. Formality was derived through case analysis of Kinetic art in fashion and dance works centering on the theoretical study, and texture was divided into three categories for light-Kinetic art dance costumes and analyzed. First, in the early 20th century, Kinetic Art is creating works that utilize natural movements and artificial movements. Gabo's 'La-Chatte' is a combination of dance and Kinetic art, using transparent materials to express sculptural characteristics. Light effects were generated through the reflecting space and time-space modelling was expressed along with the movements of dancers. Second, dance took advantage of Kinetic Art since 1980 to introduce a new format that has not been seen in the past. Kinetic art has replaced the role of dancers by appearing as stage art in dance or being used in dance works, and the recent introduction of Kinetic Art has resulted in various art fields and artists are actively collaboration. Third, Calder collaborated with Graham to present two works of representative mobiles, which were used as stage art or as a tool in Calder's Circus and as a formative art device in the second. Fourth, the composition of Kinetic art, fashion and dance was combined and classified into six categories: motility, deformity, fluency, action of light, visual perception and amusement. Common modelling in the three fields is kinematic, with wind-induced movement, clothing movement through wearer movement, dancers' movement, and artificial movement through light. Fifth, during the dance costume textures for light-kinetic art, Lilipad Aduno is a micro-controller board shaped like a small petal, and uses the main board, power unit and various sensors on the dance outfits using conductive thread on the fabric. Though not universally used, Lilipad Aduno is being used in dance costume by a handful of dance costume designers. Based on these findings, the focus was on applying various materials to develop dance costume that applied the movement of Kinetic art. The composition of the works totaled eight points, with two works based on natural movement, three based on natural and artificial movement and three based on artificial movement. The Work I used feather material and pearl string decoration that moved even in breeze to express motility and coincidence. The simple design of the dress was motif by mobile and wanted to show the joy of string and pearl decoration. The Work II is a dress that uses cross techniques to express amusement, expressing motility and coincidence through the wind, which is a natural movement, and expressing the action of light through the beads. The dress was made using three colored fabrics of the Brown line and an elegant and colorful A-line. The work III is a Korean dress that uses the Ivory Coast to represent athletic and accidentality by utilizing wind effect. A strip-type Neo-pixel LED along the neckline was used to express the action of light. The decoration of petals throughout the skirt triggers the movement of the petals through the wind. The work IV is a two-piece form with flexible LED and Lily Tinyi to express the action of the light, expressing motility and coincidence through wind effect in feather decoration and sphinx. Made of leotard and voluminous rap skirt, the spangles attached to the skirt appear to tremble and shake by the dancers' movement and the environment. The work V used Lillipad Aduno to express the action of light, motility and amusement, an artificial movement with a two-piece consisting of leotard and skirt. Leotard was decorated with beads and Lillipad Aduino to show the curved feel of Gaudi’s architecture, which was designed to move light regularly using Lillipad Aduino’s USB board. Skirt was described as wind-driven motility when a dancer moved through tassel decoration. To create an elegant image, the work VI was made from the ivory-colored cyphon dress of the Empire Line. Neopixels LEDs were used to express the action and playfulness of light, which are artificial movement. Using ring-type Neo-pixel LED on one-piece top, they were designed to vary the color of LED from dark light to dancer’s movement. The work VII is a one-piece of the upper-and-lower silhouette, which uses a wealth of Sha material to express its Korean image. To express the mobility and coincidence of light, flexible LED were used to attach them to the bottom of one-piece and the audience was made to know the dynamic movements of dancer through various changes of LED. The work VIII was made entirely out of spangles to express the motility of light by stage lighting. The changing light according to the dancer's movement gives the audience amusement and visual motility is expressed by the reflexes of the light. This study confirmed that dance costume can be produced in an active way through the process of using Kinetic art in dance costumes. Also, by applying Kinetic Art to dance costume, it is meaningful that the artist, who majored in fashion and dance, presented a creative design using Lillipad Aduino, Flexible LED and Neo-Pixel LED. Further, further research will require the development and design of various new materials of dance costume to develop original dance costume design by applying Kinetic Art.
