The purpose of this study was to study marketing cases in which spatial content was utilized in connection with the phenomenon that showrooms, which are offline commercial spaces, will function as cultural consumption spaces. With the advent of an era of interest in cultural consumption, the development of IT has also changed greatly, necessitating a differentiated concept in offline commercial spaces facing consumers directly. In particular, showroom space for corporate promotion, exhibition and product demonstration is showing a trend of utilizing various space contents such as performances, lectures and artwork. Research on showrooms has been conducted in many areas so far, but from a long-term brand marketing perspective, there was a fragmentary view that the use of showrooms should be viewed to develop potential customers through enhanced communication and corporate image inventory. In this paper, however, it was noted that companies are planning to develop strategies one step further, and this is directly related to the use of spatial content. Therefore, in order to understand the showroom as a cultural consumer space, the main subject wanted to find the location of the showroom based on the concept and role of a third place space and culture medium space, which can be seen as a culture and consumption space. In addition, strategic elements deemed suitable for space marketing of showrooms, which have the characteristics of culture consumption space together, were modified in the preceding study. This presented the case framework by creating questions about the space element, value element, experience element, and communication elements that correspond to each element. For case analysis, the research scope was set up as a cultural consumption space as a residential interior showroom, and case analysis and comprehensive analysis were performed according to the purpose of each showroom. Royal Lounge, a showroom of Royal & Company, a dry bathroom company, operated not only in a comprehensive exhibition hall, but also in a variety of subjects including book cafes, restaurants, galleries, and humanities, interior and art. It noted that the main purpose of utilizing spatial content in the showroom was to interact with consumers. It is a showroom of Lee Geon-ho, a company that deals with building-related materials, and operates as a communication space in the architectural field through exhibitions and educational space rental, which is based on a community with specific interests and themes in the architectural field. Finally, Desker Signature Store, a showroom of Desker, a subsidiary of the office furniture company Periscis Group, used space content to reveal the identity of the brand as well as Desker's products, in collaboration with designers and startups, which are the main target. When all three spaces were analyzed by applying the strategic framework established in this thesis, they were properly constructed for the purpose and atmosphere of the space element, but no differentiation was found. In terms of value elements, images were found to be unified because they constitute space with the same theme, but it was hard to find a clear presentation of the story of corporate identity in space. In the experience element, most of the stimuli using visual and tactile stimuli were present, while the two-stage compound stimuli included room for food and beverage. The third stage revealed the stimulus of time-bounding as space contents such as works of art, an academy and space for reading. However, few of the stimuli involved in capturing the last four stages of the story are revealed. In terms of related factors, all three spaces communicate with the outside world in a differentiated space while at the same time mingling with the cityscape, and most of them have direct communication with business officials and consumers. And in terms of programmatic aspects, we could see that plans were underway to provide programs to consumers using various spatial content. Through the above process, we were able to analyze marketing cases through the use of space contents in showrooms as a cultural consumption space expected in the introduction, and see the phenomenon of the change in areas that focused on space planning in terms of physical environment, design, etc., which have been conducted in advance research, towards more active use of space contents. However, this paper has limitations in that it ended up in analysis, news articles, and interviews with corporate managers in the article, which primarily reveal the scope of the analysis. In this paper, due to the characteristic that showroom is a space made for corporate promotion and marketing purposes, the main body is considered to be a company and the case is analyzed. It is also likely that follow-up research will be needed on consumers' position and effect of having various experiences through showroom space. This is because the purpose of marketing that utilizes spatial content in showrooms, which function as cultural and consumer space, is to create profits due to consumers' satisfaction and long-term promotional effects. Based on this research, we hope that this will serve as an opportunity to establish effective strategies for utilizing space contents in showrooms as a cultural consumption space through follow-up research.
