The purpose of present study was to identify actual states of completion and timeliness of HPV vaccination of females. The study was conducted in the form of retrospective investigation. Subjects of the present study were 501 females of the ages distributing in the range from 15 to 45 years who started the HPV vaccination during the period from January 2014 to February 2019 in the Department of Obstetric and Gynecology of the two University Hospitals located in Seoul and Gyeongbuk Province. The electronic medical records of subjects, on the presence and times of vaccinations, were collected for which the descriptive statistics thereof were used to conduct the statistical analyses. The result of investigation conducted in the present study revealed a total of 366 female subjects(73.1%) who completed 3-times of HPV vaccination, 78 female subjects(15.6%) who completed the HPV vaccination once, and 57 female subjects(11.4%) who completed the HPV vaccination for twice among the entire 501 female subjects. The number of 347 female subjects(95.3%), who took the second HPV vaccination on right time among female subjects who completed the 3-times of vaccination, appeared greater than the number of 315 female subjects(86.1%) who completed the tertiary HPV vaccination on right time. In particular, the number of female subjects whose number of total vaccination for twice appeared with less number of second vaccination on right time than the number of subject females who completed three time of HPV vaccination. Thus, the necessity of HPV vaccination and significance of the timeliness of completion of HPV vaccination within recommended times need to be publicized through national policies for financial supports of education, public relation, and campaign utilizing mass media. Besides, the guidance and pre-notification service on right times of vaccination by medical institutions need to be intensified.
