Nanobubbles, which have a diameter of less than sub-micron, can divide into surface nanobubbles trapped on solid surface and bulk nanobubbles (BNBs) dispersed in bulk liquid. These BNBs can change the physicochemical property of water. Therefore, water containing BNBs attracts great attention in many fields of wastewater treatment, bio, medicine and cleaning. In this study, BNBs generated in Deionized (DI) water using the gas-liquid mixing method and then investigated the effect of the BNBs stability according to various ions (Li+, Na+, K+). Each reagent (LiCl, NaCl, KCl) was diluted in DI water and then mixed DI Water containing BNBs. Each samples ratio was 614 mM. For the stability evaluation of each samples, BNBs concentration and zeta-potential was measured according to elapsed time. The effect of the BNBs stability according to various ions (Li+, Na+, K+) was investigated in this study. According to elapsed time, BNBs concentration was reduced at all samples. Especially, the high decreasing rate of BNBs concentration was showed at the existed ion in BNBs water. Moreover, BNBs water which contains ions show lower Zeta-Potential rather than BNBs water. Generally, nanobubbles which are generated in DI water have a double electric layer due to the existence of radical(OH-). Therefore, nanobubbles are strongly charged in negative. The existence of + ions could cause weakening of double electric layer. As a result, the repulsive force between nanobubbles was reduced and then the stability of nanobubbles was also reduced. The difference between BNBs concentration which contain ions is caused by the distance between nucleus of the atom and the outermost electron. If the distance increases, the attraction between nucleus and outermost electrons get weaker and the outermost electrons tends to react with other ions. Therefore, the interaction between ions and BNBs are occurs in the order of K> Na> Li, which could be attributed to the difference in the number of BNBs reduced by ions over time.
