Today, it has an atmosphere of time to pursue ordinary everyday life and to realize trivial happiness in ordinary everyday life. According to this atmosphere, books and communication channels aimed at realizing minor happiness in everyday life have already been popularized. This life reflects the increased interest and effort of the public to live a happy life. It is emphasized that happiness in a trivial life, as well as practice and effort in happiness, should be experienced enough from childhood. While looking at the previous studies that this sense of happiness has a correlation with self-elasticity, which is the muscle of the mind, it supports the need to actively plan and work activities that can promote happiness from an early childhood. Therefore, this study aims at ultimately aiming to examine the causal relationship between self-elasticity in happiness promotion activities for infants and to form high self-elasticity in happiness promotion activities. To this end, we conducted an activity to promote happiness for infants aged 3 years, and set the following research questions to achieve the research objectives.
1. What is the effect of happiness promotion activities for infants on self-elasticity?
1-1. What is the effect of happiness promotion activities for young children on their attachment? 1-2. What is the effect of happiness promotion activities for infants on infants' initiative? 1-3. What is the effect of happiness promotion activities for infants on self-control of infants?
This study was conducted on a total of 32 infants aged 3 years and older who were hospitalized at two parallel kindergartens located in H City. Of the two classes studied, 16 in one class is an experimental group that applies happiness promotion activities for infants, and the other class is a comparative group that applies nursing activities by life subject based on the kindergarten management plan. The experiment was conducted twice a week for 6 weeks from October 21 to November 29, 2019. In particular, considering the fact that the study was conducted for 3 years old infants, the level of teacher's visit was adjusted by considering the difficulty of the activity and the age and developmental level of the infant. In this study, Hee-Jung Koo (2010) proposed and developed the Devereux Early Childhood Assessment (DECA), an elasticity test developed by Labuffe and Naglieri (1999) for infants aged 2 to 5 years to measure self-elasticity of infants. (2012) modified and supplemented. This test was conducted in the same way for both pre- and post-tests to verify the effectiveness of the experiment. Statistical analysis of the collected data was performed by Levene's test on the experimental and comparative groups to verify the homogeneity of the variance. In addition, in order to investigate the effect of happiness promotion activities on self-elasticity, pre-tests were set as covariates and post-test scores were analyzed by covariate analysis (ANCOVA). The results of this study are summarized as follows. The experimental group that applied the activity to promote happiness for infants had higher self-elasticity than the comparison group, and there was a statistically significant difference in the results of the study on the presence or absence of activity to promote happiness for infants. Among the sub-elements of self-elasticity, attachment, initiative, and self-control showed statistically significant results among groups. As such, it was found that the activity of promoting happiness for infants is effective in improving self-elasticity. Therefore, in order to improve the self-elasticity of the happiness promotion activities for infants, qualitative research is needed so that teachers can easily access the planning and operation of happiness promotion activities. In addition, it is necessary to develop and distribute development and distribution of teaching-learning materials that connect institutions and families, and to develop materials that enable mutual linkage between the Nuri process and happiness promotion activities. Therefore, in the field, it is necessary to provide an educational opportunity for the infant to experience and recognize happiness and to provide an educational opportunity to improve self-elasticity by actively implementing the activity to promote self-elasticity.
