This study was conducted in order to identify the level of fat-soluble and water-soluble vitamins in the blood according to the gender, type of sports, type of exercises, and BMI of the athletes. The participants were selected by announcing with a poster for two weeks explaining the purpose, process, and benefits of participation in the research at a legally authorized place in accordance with IRB's (Institutional Review Board) procedures. In addition, the research was conducted after 424 subjects were selected by purposeful sampling. The fat- and water-soluble vitamin levels in the blood were indicated in mean and standard deviation, and the normality verification (Kolmogorov-Smirnov) was performed prior to the analysis. The differences of the level of the fat- and water-soluble vitamins in the blood according to gender, type of sports, type of exercises, and BMI level were analyzed by Independent t-test, one-way ANOVA, Mann-Whitney U test, and Kruskal-Wallis test, depending on the presence of normality. Then, the relationship between the fat and water-soluble vitamins and BMI was used by Pearson's appropriate correlation analysis to draw the following conclusions. First, the difference in the fat- and water-soluble vitamin concentrations of athletes by gender were significantly higher for male athletes in Vitamin A, Vitamin D and Vitamin B5, and for female athletes in Vitamin E, Vitamin B3, Vitamin B9. Second, the difference in the fat and water-soluble vitamin concentration of athletes according to the type of sports was significantly higher for outdoor events in Vitamin D, and higher for indoor events in Vitamin E and Vitamin B1. Third, there was significant differences among the type of exercises in all vitamins in the difference in the fat-soluble and water-soluble vitamin concentrations of athletes according to the type of exercises. Fourth, the relationship between the BMI and fat- and water-soluble vitamins has been shown to have no statistically significant correlation. In conclusion, there was a significant difference in the concentration of fat-soluble and water-soluble vitamins in the blood of athletes according to the gender, type of sports and type of exercises. However, there was no correlation between the BMI and the blood vitamin levels.
