The purpose of this study is to empirically reveal the structural relationships among social support, learning motivation, learning participation, learning outcomes, and quality of life for elderly learners. The research questions set up to achieve this research purpose are as follows: First, what is the direct relationships among social support, learning motivation, learning participation, learning outcomes, and quality of life? Second, do learning motivation, learning participation, and learning outcomes mediate the relationship between social support and quality of life? For this purpose, this study measured social support(instructor·peer support and family support), learning motivation, learning participation, learning outcomes, and quality of life for 354 learners aged 60 or older, enrolled in programs of public lifelong education institutions, using the inspection tools modified and supplemented by the researcher for this study. Data were analyzed by SPSS 21, AMOS 26. The main findings of this study are as follows: First, looking at the direct relationship among social support, learning motivation, learning participation, learning outcomes, and quality of life, instructor·peer support had a direct impact on learning motivation and learning participation. Family had a direct impact on learning outcomes and quality of life. This means that social support becomes a positive resource for learning-related variables as well as the quality of life for elderly learners, and the variables that have direct effects on are different depending on those who provide social support. Second, concerning the relationship between the learning-related variables and quality of life, the learning motivation has a positive direct impact on learning participation, learning outcomes. Learning participation also has a positive impact on learning outcomes. Learning outcomes had a direct and positive effect on the quality of life. Third, learning motivation, learning participation, and learning outcomes have multiple mediating effects on the relationship between social support and quality of life. Family support influenced quality of life through learning outcomes. Instructor·peer support influenced quality of life through learning motivation, learning participation, and learning outcomes as well as learning participation and learning outcomes. These findings suggest that for the improvement of the quality of life in old age, the elderly need to improve their quality of life through learning motivation, learning participation, and learning outcomes with support from family, instructor, and peer as well as the direct impact of family support. Finally, the limitation and the direction for the future study were suggested.
