This study introduces and defines new colors (natural colors), and suggests that applying these colors to product packaging enhances consumers' attitudes toward health foods, but not tastes foods. In the context of food marketing, this paper is one of the few academic studies examining the effect of residual color packages on consumer inferences about intrinsic product attributes, which is the relationship between product color and package color and the relationship with color brightness or saturation Occurs without. Four experiments showed that consumers perceived that foods with unnatural color packaging (red) are less healthy than foods with natural color packaging. The perceived product mediates the relationship between the natural color package and the consumer's attitude toward the product. The research results support the proposed conceptual framework, contribute to the literature on consumer reaction to color and packaging functions, and derive implications for the marketing of health foods. It also contributes to color literature exploring the distinct effects of various color factors on consumer perception. It also improves documentation on food health by identifying new heuristics affecting food health. Finally, this study provides food marketers with new insights into consumer appraisals of products. The management application of consumer perception-behavioral response to the package color strategy and future studies are also discussed. Keyword: natural color, food type, heuristic, dual process theory, health food, perceived product, consumer attitude
