Currently, the domestic retail market is changing dramatically. The rapid growth of online channels is eroding the existing offline market. Due to the growth of the online market, there is also skepticism about the existing offline market. In the case of large discount stores, they face a crisis of survival due to continuous customer outflow and deterioration of profits amid intensifying competition among channels, including administrative regulations (mandatory shutdown), shrinking economic conditions, worsening consumer sentiment, growing single-person households, online market expansion, and convenience stores. This study analyzed customer experience factors of fresh food in large discount stores, which are strengths of offline stores, and verified their effect on store satisfaction and store re-visit. Therefore, it is intended to provide implications for establishing differentiated strategies for large discount stores based on the competitiveness of fresh food products. For the study, a survey of 275 prospective consumers was conducted and the final analysis was conducted. The analysis method used SPSS 21.0 for reliability analysis, feasibility analysis, and simple regression, multiple regression, and mediated analysis to verify the hypothesis. Based on prior research and theoretical considerations, we derive pleasure, product, economic, service, and relational experiences as sub-factors of customer experience factors. The causal relationship between customer experience factors, store satisfaction, store re-visit, store satisfaction, and store re-visit was identified, and whether there was a mediated effect on customer experience factors and store satisfaction relationship. The results of the study are as follows: First, a multi-reciprocal analysis to analyze the impact of customer experience factors on store satisfaction of large marts' fresh foods has significant effects on store satisfaction of pleasure experience, product experience, service experience, and relationship experience. On the other hand, economic experience has been shown to have no significant impact on dependent variables. Second, multiple regression analyses to analyze the effects of customer experience factors on store re-visits have significantly affected store re-visits (+) by pleasure experiences, product experiences, service experiences, and relational experiences. On the other hand, economic experience has been shown to have no significant impact on dependent variables. Third, as a result of a simple regression analysis to analyze the effect of store satisfaction on store re-visit, store satisfaction had a significant effect on store re-visit (+). Fourth, a parameter regression analysis was conducted to analyze the effects of store satisfaction between the customer experience element of fresh food and the store re-visit, and whether it played a role between customer experience element and store satisfaction, which is a dependent variable of store satisfaction. As a result of the analysis, it was established that pleasure experiences, product experiences, and service experiences serve as complete intermediaries, and related experiences serve as partial mediators. The analysis summarizes the implications as follows. First, at a time when competition between channels is intensifying online, we present the need for a strategic approach to maintain an edge in competition with various distribution channels through services that customers can only experience offline. Second, customers using fresh food from large supermarkets were found to share their experiences with other customers in a variety of ways, such as sharing values, sharing lifestyle, sharing lifestyle, and feeling that they fit well in with other customers. Due to the characteristics of large offline marts, they directly check and purchase various products, including fresh seasonal foods, lines, quality, and taste. As part of the customer's life cycle, it is believed that the differentiation of fresh foods should be strengthened so that large discount stores can be recognized and shared through fresh foods. From the marketer's perspective, these customer responses and behaviors were more actively managed and utilized, suggesting the importance of differentiated and competitive strategies and implementation. Third, among the customer experience factors of fresh food in large discount stores, pleasure experiences and product experiences were identified as factors that affected the re-visit of stores following the relational experience factors.Experiencing the liveliness and freshness experienced in offline fresh food stores, the pleasure experiences of various products such as vitality and pleasure, different feelings, and attraction, the quality of fresh food experienced in large supermarkets, and the competitive quality of products that can always be eaten in season. Fourth, through satisfaction with stores and services, satisfactory shopping experience, convenient space layout, and easy-to-find display, the more satisfaction the store has, the more the store continues to use, select, and re-visit the store positively recommended to others. Therefore, large discount stores should make every effort to establish various activities and strategies to enhance customer satisfaction so that customers can revisit and continue to use them. Shopping is the essence of business and a core competitive edge, focusing on fresh food at large discount stores. Therefore, we hope that it will help companies establish sales strategies based on customer-viewed experiences that reflect consumer lifestyles, away from existing product operations and activation strategies limited to prices, quality, and color of fresh food.
