The purpose of this study is to demonstrate the effect of Pilates exercise according to the postpartum period of the postpartum women, to find out how it affects the women according to the start time of postpartum exercise, and to recover to a state of health before pregnancy. The subjects of this study were (10) postpartum women within 6months after childbirth (A group) and (13) postpartum women within 6months to 18 months after childbirth (B group). Before postpartum Pilates exercise, body weight, chest circumference, abdominal circumference, diastasis recti abdominis, muscle endurance, balance ability is measured and evaluated. Postpartum Pilates exercise was conducted ten times every other day for 3weeks, about 40 minutes through online training. To verify the changes before and after Pilates by group, the corresponding sample was analyzed using a t-test. In order to see the differences between groups, an independent sample t-test was conducted before and after. Group A positively affected reducing body weight, chest circumference, abdominal circumference, and diastasis recti abdominis. In group B, changes in body weight, chest circumference, and abdominal circumference were insignificant and had a positive effect on reducing diastasis recti abdominis. Both groups A and B had improved muscle endurance, balance ability, and group A positively on improving imbalance. Whenever postpartum exercise was started, the effect of exercise appeared regardless of the timing. However, positive changes before and after postpartum Pilates exercise were more significant in group A than in group B. It is believed that the earlier the postpartum Pilates exercise is started, the more significant the positive impact on the women's health will be.
