The purpose of this study is due to the appearance of the COVID-19 Pandemic, which changed online contents and platforms are no longer subject of human choice but to enjoy as cultural arts. Recently, there is hope that the current global issue will end soon. There is also the belief of common people who live content will not disappear. However, as the starting point of this study, online content and online platforms can now be targets as alternatives, not supplements, and confidence in them. Now, more detailed analysis, research, and alternatives to online content and platforms than ever are essential. From September 2020 to April 2021, this study surveyed the cost, form, service method, appearance artists, organizers, features, and unique services of each platform for live streaming performances of pop music online concerts at home and abroad. The research categorized different types with platforms. Entertainment company-based platforms, telecommunications-based platforms, and online ticket reservation-based platforms, and online concert live streaming cases will be the main topic of the study. Based on the purpose and method of such research, four conclusions have derived as follows: First, attracting content determines the success or failure of online platforms. Airport duty-free operators focus on global luxury brands and musical theaters focus on attracting the best brand works. Online platforms have a similar structure to large shopping malls, convention centers, and live venues. Therefore, to secure good content, each type of platform should continue to make the most of its advantages, while continuing efforts to improve services, provide safety and convenience, try various technologies, and secure consumer access by reducing sales costs. It is the only way to survive the global competition when the competitor continues to emerge and the essential factor for KPOP to be grown even further, which is a relatively new wave known to the world. Secondly, integration and classification seem necessary for the healthy growth of the market. There are more than dozens of related platform brands in Korea alone, and new brands continue to emerge. However, as the case-clearing analysis shows, most platforms offer almost similar services and are mostly focused on idol content where consumption is concentrated. It may be an inevitable phenomenon in the free market system, but some adjustments are required to develop the overall pop culture and art. To increase the Traffic, each platform needed to be integrated with clear categories and genre characteristics for the accessibility of potential demand groups in the KPOP market to grant global demand. The advent of platforms for each particular entertainment company that has rights to an artist can lead to confusion in the overall market. Overlapping R&D costs and services will occur due to excessive competition and will eventually pass on to consumers, resulting in higher service prices. Various genre platforms such as ballad, rock, trot, Gugak, indie music, etc., not the emergence of platforms by large idol groups, can increase the overall market concentration and further drive the development of healthy pop music. Third, the development of more diverse and ingenious technologies and services is essential as an alternative to live content. No matter how such technologies as AR, VR, and XR develop rapidly, it is almost impossible for the explosive power of live content to send through online platforms due to the limitation of contact. Therefore, we should focus more on the new R&D cost, which has the advantage of online content that can overcome the limitations of online platforms as much as possible, rather than the cost of each company to attract content from each platform. Finally, for the three conclusions above, efforts to develop specific companies and platforms are not enough. Hive's BTS is a clear example of how well-developed KPOP artists have a profound impact on the nation's brand strengthening. However, continuous investment, administrative support, and development system construction across the country are still lacking in line with the global status of KPOP in each media. For example, until early June 2021 in Korea, musicals were allowed to perform under ambiguous quarantine standards, and concerts in popular music genres such as KPOP concerts were not allowed to perform. There is no actual compensation or related laws and policies for loss of related companies and workers such as stage technology, choreography, vocal training, concert hall, performance marketing, recording, and performance even though they were the key element of KPOP's rapid development before the corona pandemic. This threatens the survival of large entertainment companies as well as the material and mental damage of relatively small related companies. The online platform industry, which is now so important as an alternative rather than a supplement, has become an essential target for the development of the entire domestic pop music industry in the future, so a nationwide system of support must be combined. Otherwise, Korea's pop-art content industry, which has been accumulated so far, will have no choice but to burden its existence only to consumers. Without the change, the environment of the entertainment industry will be the same even if the corona pandemic is over and the live content industry and the online content industry coexist healthily again. To overcome these problems wisely and develop pop music-related industries, it is a task that must be solved wisely by working together with pop music industry workers, researchers studying this field, and government-related ministries.
