The metaverse platform, a new three-dimensional virtual space, is emerging as an alternative due to the prolonged social distancing caused by Corona (COVID-19). In the metaverse platform, users interact and experience virtual reality through avatars, which are surrogate version of themselves. In particular, users can decorate their avatars by creating their own and purchasing digital fashion products using virtual currency. Paying attention to this recent phenomenon, many fashion brands are releasing digital fashion products in collaboration with the Metaverse platform, and are achieving effective marketing results. Although the value of digital fashion products is rising along with the expansion of the metaverse platform, studies which quantitatively analyze such marketing effects are still lacking in terms of various aspects. The need for further research is raised so as to define the characteristics of the metaverse platform which affect the digital fashion product value and purchasing intentions through flow experience, and to suggest strategies for increasing the application and effectiveness of the metaverse platform of both domestic and foreign fashion brands. Accordingly, through this study, based on the consumption value theory (Sheth et al., 1991), the characteristics of the metaverse platform and the properties of digital fashion product values, the characteristics of the metaverse platform include the digital fashion product values through flow experience and its effects upon purchase intention are defined. Furthermore, in this research model, the difference between diagnoses according to the consumer's avatar (desired image, personality image, good image) is verified. This study verified the validity of each measurement by conducting a preliminary survey addressing each measurement item through a preliminary survey. In this study, a survey was conducted pertaining to domestic consumers who have purchased digital fashion products on the social metaverse platform ZEPETO, and a total of 314 responses were utilized for the final analysis. As a statistical analysis method, descriptive statistics, exploratory factor analysis, and reliability analysis are performed through SPSS 28.0, with statistical analysis is performed using confirmatory factor analysis, discriminatory validity test, structural equation model verification, and multi-group analysis through AMOS 26.0. carried out. As a result, it was discerned that among the characteristics of the metaverse platform, remote presence, social interactivity, and economic flow bore a significant effect on flow experience. The flow experience was found to bear a significant effect on digital fashion product value attributes, such as pleasure value, self-expression value, and economic value. Further, it was found that among the digital fashion product values, pleasure and economic value had a significant influence on purchase intention. Furthermore, the difference between groups according to the degree of pursuit of longing image and individuality among avatar image types was significant in terms of the difference between groups according to the consumer's disposition, and the difference was not significant within the good image group. This study is differentiated in that it identified the characteristics of the metaverse platform and digital fashion products at a time when prior research on the metaverse platform and within the fashion industry was lacking from an academic point of view, and quantitatively analyzed the influence relationship. By extending the scope of clothing studies to the metaverse platform, it is meaningful in which the study can be used as a theoretical reference for future research. In practical terms, we provide a marketing segmentation strategy guide for fashion brand activities on the metaverse platform by understanding the platform characteristics and digital fashion product values which affect purchasing behavior from the consumer's point of view. This in addition to analyzing differences according to consumer preferences.
