The number of foreigners staying in Korea as marriage immigrants is increasing every year. In particular, many men chose international marriages due to gender imbalance in rural areas and multicultural societies have progressed rapidly. However, neglect and discrimination toward married immigrant women continue in rural society including low acceptance of multiculturalism. In addition, it was viewed as an alternative to solving the challenges facing rural areas through them. In this trend, research on married immigrant women in rural areas has been focused on derived problems, not on marriage immigrant women themselves, and simply checking their actual conditions or identifying problems. Therefore, in order to prepare a policy to improve the quality of life of married immigrant women in rural areas, empirical analysis is needed to identify factors affecting the quality of life. This study divided the quality of life into individual, social relations and environmental conditions using the original data of 「The 2018 National Multicultural Family Survey」. So this study targeted a total of 5,034 rural married immigrant women for empirical analysis. The analysis method used a multiple linear regression model and empirical analysis was performed in the R program. As a result of the analysis, the higher the monthly household income, the better the Korean language ability, and the better the overall health status, the higher the quality of life. The longer the residence period, the lower the quality of life and the lower the quality of life was in economic activities than in non-economic activities. However, the period of education in the homeland did not affect the quality of life. In terms of social relations, the higher the spouse satisfaction, the more people to be helped and the more participating meetings, the higher the quality of life. The higher the number of children, the lower the quality of life. In terms of environmental conditions, the quality of life of rural married immigrant women experiencing social discrimination and having difficulty using institutions was lower. However, the social service experience and facility use experience did not affect their quality of life. The implications of this study are as follows. For married immigrant women in rural areas, Korean language education specialized in rural areas is needed, including the culture of rural areas. And, educational programs for children should also be provided. In addition, local government should support them to strengthen social networks such as 1:1 mentoring and village adaptation programs. And, local government should figure out the effectiveness of the services provided by the Multicultural Family Support Center to they can fully benefit it. Finally, it is necessary to change the differentiated view of multiculturalism by the closures of rural communities. The limitations of this study are as follows. Study results are difficult to know the change in quality of life every year. because the data has been researched once every three years. And, the effect of the psychological factors of rural married immigrant women on the quality of life is unknown. It is expected to help improve the quality of life of them in rural areas and prepare policies for a multicultural society in rural areas.
