This study examines the characteristics of the curriculum achievement standards, evaluation criterion achievement standards, evaluation standards, and achievement levels of each subject for the 2009·2015 revised high school music and elective curriculum, and compares the development details of evaluation standards, document system, and contents. Analyzing and examining the consistency and development direction of the 2009·2015 revised high school music and elective curriculum. The purpose of this study was to help people understand the definitions and characteristics of terms related to evaluation criterion, which are important indicators for judging the quality of education. The results are as follows.
First, the 2009 revised high school music department elective curriculum 'Music and Life' subjects the students to express themselves through various music activities and to reach the ability to understand the role and cultural value of music in life, with achievement standards, evaluation standards, and achievement level was presented. The 'Music and Career' curriculum provides achievement standards, evaluation standards, and achievement levels so that students can explore music-related fields and professions to develop their ability to challenge their careers and prepare for the future.
Second, the 'Music' subject, a general elective subject of the 2015 revised high school music department elective curriculum, covers most of the 'Music and Life' and 'Music and Career' subjects of the 2009 revised curriculum that were previously discussed, providing a wide range of music activities and appreciation. Through this, achievement standards, evaluation standards, and achievement levels are presented so that students can broaden their perspective on musicality, creativity, and music, explore music-related occupations, and reach the ability to recognize the importance and value of traditional music.
Third, 'Music Performance', a career elective subject in the high school music department, revised in 2015, presents achievement standards, evaluation standards, and achievement levels to achieve the ability to sing and play with the right attitude and to analyze and criticize by watching the performance of oneself or others. ‘Music Appreciation and Criticism’ presented achievement standards, evaluation standards, and achievement levels to reach the ability to appreciate a variety of music and evaluate the various values of music.
Fourth, the document system of achievement standards, evaluation standards, and achievement standards for the 2009·2015 revised high school music and elective curriculum differs in the numbering system in the case of ‘curriculum achievement standards’, In the case of ‘Evaluation Criterion Achievement Criterion’, it is presented only when necessary in the change of the description format and numbering system and in the 2015 revised curriculum, showing a simplified documentary difference. In the case of 'evaluation criterion', there is no significant difference except for the numbering system, and in the case of 'achievement level', the achievement level for each semester disappeared and only the achievement level for each area was developed.
With the transition from the 2009 revised curriculum to the 2015 revised curriculum, it can be seen that the experiential elements of music have been expanded in the evaluation criterion of the high school music and elective curriculum. This is considered to have been developed so that students can directly experience and express what was somewhat ambiguous in determining whether students learned effectively in the previous curriculum, so that they could judge the student's destination through clearer evaluation criterion.
The evaluation criterion is an important criterion to check whether the goals pursued by the curriculum are effectively delivered to the students. Therefore, research and active development of evaluation tools are required in the future to serve as a guide for understanding evaluation criterion. It is expected that this study will help teachers to understand the evaluation criterion in the future, so that they can be used effectively in the educational field.
