Recently, the social welfare environment has been changing to the provision of professional services as a welfare environment construction system by introducing a social welfare facility evaluation system and decentralization. The expansion of welfare voucher services means that the needs of analytical consumers are increasing, and welfare recipients are changing professionally from a simple beneficiary category to a concept of consumers, users, and consumers. Social welfare targets are service supervisors who manage and supervise the organization, and are transforming from a welfare environment to a future-oriented consumer.
This study attempted to analyze ESG operation by combining ESG operation of social welfare organizations and organizational performance.Environmental, environmental, environmental, social and governance structure of ESG activities, and governments are identified as a key factor for organizational operational operations The purpose of this study was to examine the impact of long-term care institutions for the elderly in the field of social welfare on the organizational performance of institutions in relation to ESG activities. In addition, the following research questions were set up to study the mediating effect on the ethical management of long-term care institutions for the elderly and to examine the factors influencing the control effect of the type of long-term care institution for the elderly.
Research Question 1. Will ESG activities of long-term care institutions for the elderly affect organizational performanceResearch Question 2. Will ESG activities of long-term care institutions for the elderly affect ethical managementResearch Question 3. Does the ethical management of long-term care institutions for the elderly affect organizational performanceResearch Question 4. Does ethical management affect the mediating role of ESG activities in long-term care institutions for the elderly on organizational performanceResearch Question 5. In the effect of ESG activities of long-term care institutions for the elderly on organizational performance, whether the facility type of long-term care institutions for the elderly affects the moderating role.
In order to achieve the purpose of this study, long-term care institutions across the country were asked to fill out online surveys and face-to-face questionnaires, and as a result of receiving and measuring a total of 966 questionnaires, 700 surveys were collected, excluding 266 questions that lacked non-response and reliability. As a statistical analysis of this study, statistical analysis was conducted using the SPSS WIN 25.0 program and Amos 25.0.
First, frequency analysis and technical statistics analysis were conducted to examine the demographic and sociological characteristics of the study subjects and the characteristics of variables. Second, differences in ESG activities, ethical management, and organizational performance were analyzed according to demographic and sociological characteristics. Third, a correlation analysis was conducted to examine the relationship between ESG activities, ethical management, and organizational performance of long-term care institutions for the elderly. Fourth, a structural causal relationship between ESG activities, ethical management, and organizational performance of long-term care institutions for the elderly was conducted, and Bootstrap analysis was conducted to verify the mediating effect. Fifth, the effect of ESG activities of long-term care institutions for the elderly on organizational performance was controlled, and a multi-group analysis was conducted on the moderating effect of long-term care institutions for the elderly.
The results of the study are as follows. First, the impact of ESG activities in long-term care institutions for the elderly on organizational performance was identified in the study. The impact of activities related to environmental, social, and governance on organizational performance was identified. Accordingly, it was confirmed that the impact of social and governance activities related to ESG on ethical management was significant. In the impact of ESG activities on organizational performance, it was confirmed that ESG's activities related to environmental, social, and governance had a significant impact on the mediating role of ethical management. In addition, it is difficult to say that the facility type of long-term care institution for the elderly affects the control role in the impact of activities related to the facility type of ESG activities on organizational performance. It can be seen that the social welfare environment is a society in which institutional changes emphasize the importance of performance and evaluation for social welfare projects. In particular, in the ESG environment, it means that all environments such as environment, society, and governance are key players in the social welfare sector, and it is emerging as a practical task in the operation of social welfare management for sustainable management.
The academic meaning of this study has so far been insufficient to reflect the effect by combining ESG evaluation and long-term care institution evaluation for the elderly. In this regard, practice attempts are being made in relation to ESG activities in the social welfare practice field, but it is not easy to combine them with ESG evaluation. In this sense, long-term care institutions for the elderly should expand their detailed evaluation contents combined with ESG activities as the elderly population grows, as well as research on ethical management and organizational performance. In other words, the ESG environment, ethical management, and organizational performance of long-term care institutions for the elderly have a significant impact on ethical management along with welfare management, and this study is significant in terms of research attempts to improve elderly human rights.
Through the results of this study, it is important to expand the social responsibility of social welfare organizations that combine long-term care institutions for the elderly and ESG operations. The ESG operating environment and social welfare organization operation pursued by the organization require an ESG specific system according to the increase in the elderly population. ESG integration into corporate operation and welfare sites will also change the marketing of long-term care institutions for the elderly, and win-win and sustainable preparations are needed to promote the future environment. Based on welfare management and ethical management, it can be suggested that ESG practice institutions should have trust and transparency that must coexist with the region.
