This study is a correlation study attempted to identify pregnancy stress, state anxiety, prenatal practice and the degree of fetal attachment in pregnant women with preterm labor, and their relationship and their impact on fetal attachment. This study was conducted on a total of 142 patients extracted as convenience sampling for pregnant women aged 21 or older who were hospitalized to receive treatment for early diagnosis at three women's hospitals in B metropolitan city. Data collection was conducted from May 1, 2022 to November 20, 2022, using a self-reported questionnaire. The collected data were analyzed as t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and multiple regression analysis (Enter) using the SPSS 25.0 program.
The results of the study are as follows. 1. The subject's pregnancy stress averaged 3.08±0.79 points (out of 5 points), and the sub-factors were fetal stress 3.27±0.81 points, pregnant self-stress 3.14±0.80 points, and spouse stress 2.68±1.08 points. State anxiety averaged 2.22±0.44 points (out of 4 points), with positive factors of 2.56±0.56 points and negative factors of 2.01±0.62 points. Taegyo practice averaged 2.55±0.26 points (out of 5 points), recommended behavior 3.46±0.58 points, and prohibited behavior 1.57±0.40 points. Fetal attachment averaged 3.22±0.56 points (out of 4 points), and sub-factors were 3.52±0.57 points for the distinction between oneself and the fetus, 3.17±0.66 points for estimating the characteristics and intentions of the fetus, 3.20±0.68 points for role acceptance, 3.24±0.63 points for interaction with the fetus, and 3.10±0.68 points for self-dedication.
2. Pregnancy stress according to the general characteristics of the subject is academic background (F=5.159, p=.007), monthly income (F=7.032, p<.001), the state anxiety is a health state (F=4.568, p=. 004), taegyo practice is academic background (F=3.238, p=.042), monthly income (F=5.223, p=.002), fetal attachment showed a significant difference in monthly income(F=3.342, p=.021).
3. Pregnancy stress according to the subject's obstetric characteristics showed significant differences in pregnancy week(F=3.395, p=.020) and breast feeding plans(F=8.286, p<.001), the number of miscarriage experiences(t=-2.400, p=.018) and preterm labor(F=7.690, p=<.001) in taegyo practice, preterm labor(F=2.834, p=.041) and prenatal education(t=2.592, p=.011) in fetal attachment
4. The subject's fetal attachment showed a significant positive correlation in pregnancy stress(r=.170, p=.043) and taegyo practice(r=.437, p<.001), and a significant negative correlation in state anxiety(r=-.175, p=.037). Pregnancy stress showed a significant positive correlation in state anxiety(r=.394, p<.001), and state anxiety showed a significant negative correlation in taegyo practice(r=-.211, p=.012).
5. The factors affecting the subject's fetal attachment are taegyo practice(β=.357, p<.001), pregnancy stress(β=.357, p=.030), whether prenatal education(β=.168, p=.027), and the explanatory power was 22.6%(F=7.850, p<.001).
As a result of this study, the factors affecting fetal attachment of pregnant women with preterm labor were taegyo practice, pregnancy stress, and prenatal education. Therefore, in order to improve fetal attachment of pregnant women with preterm labor, various taegyo activities programs must be developed and applied to improve taegyo practice, and we would like to provide basic data on the theoretical basis for forming communication between pregnant women and fetuses through prenatal education.
