A Study on the Culture Marketing Strategy in Corporate Culture Marketing - Focusing on short form video -원문보기

This study assesses the strategic importance of 'short platform video advertising' in corporate cultural marketing. This research is focused on understanding how short-form video advertising contributes to corporate cultural marketing in the digital media age. The chosen research method was a 'collective case study (Steak, 1995/2000)', aligning with qualitative research methodology. The selected cases included eight companies that shared "short platform video ads" on SNS platforms like Redbull, Old Spice, Patagonia, Adidas, and Chips Ahoy!" "Lululemon," "Apple," and "Biguiyuan (碧桂園)." The composition of the eight cases was based on the 'intentional sampling' (Meriam, 1998) method, in which researchers adopt cases corresponding to the purpose of the study as samples. As a result of the analysis, the strategic value of short-form video advertising could be interpreted as having valid strategic values in four aspects: "realization of competitive advantage through differentiation of corporate brands (Red Bull, Old Spice)," "realization of corporate social responsibilities such as CSR and CSA (Patagonia, Adidas), "realization of strengthening customer relations through interaction with consumers (Cips Ahoy, Lululemon)," and "settling the local market through localized short-form video advertisements (Apple, Non-Guiyuan)." This implies that short platform video advertising can be a valid means to realize the purpose of corporate cultural marketing. The implications of this analysis result are as follows. It has expanded the academic horizon of corporate cultural marketing by focusing on a new means of communication called "short platform video advertising," going beyond TV and print advertising, traditionally regarded as a means of corporate cultural marketing. This suggests significant implications for understanding new corporate cultural marketing tools in the digital transformation era and exploring practical ways to utilize them in the future. In particular, it suggests that it can be a new strategic means of doubling the effectiveness of corporate cultural marketing while responding to the public's new cultural consumption taste of snack culture. The limitation of this study is that it is somewhat unreasonable to generalize it as a future development direction and strategy of corporate cultural marketing based on short-form video advertisements with eight case analyses. Nevertheless, the results of this study are likely to help other companies set strategic directions to consider when attempting short-form video advertising. Follow-up studies that can be considered from these limitations and significance include theoretical studies to discover critical factors to be considered in the production of 'short platform video advertisements.' It is believed that it can lead to empirical research on "short platform video advertisements" in the future if crucial factors to be considered in producing "short platform video advertisements" are derived and modeled.
