인체에 직 · 간접적으로 영향을 주는 중금속은 어떤 증상을 야기할 수도 있는가? | 특히 사회가 산업화됨에 따라 중금속의 사용은 급격히 증가하였고, 이들 중금속에 대한 직업적인 고농도 노출 외에도 일반 환경 내에서의 만성적인 저농도의 노출이 건강에 미치는 영향도 중요한 문제로 대두되고 있다. 인체에 직 · 간접적으로 영향을 주는 중금속은 호흡기, 소화기 및 피부점막을 통해 생체 내에 흡수되어 대사와 배설의 과정을 거치면서 대부분 체외로 배설되지만 일부는 표적장기에 선택적으로 흡수, 축적되어 일차적 영향을 미치거나, 급 · 만성 중독 증상을 나타내게 된다(KHIDI, 2004; 윤, 1991). 비소(As)의 경우 피부암, 간암, 신장암, 방광암, 폐암 등과 심혈관계 질환이 대표적이며, 그 밖에도 피부질환이나 호흡기 질환, 신경계 질환, 당뇨 등의 발병에 영향을 미치는 것으로 보고되었다(Yoshida 등, 2004; Milton 등, 2002). |
