Maxent 모형은 회귀분석을 기반으로 하며 야생동물의 출현정보를 바탕으로 최대 엔트로피 접근법(Maximum entropy approach)을 통해 야생동물의 분포를 예측한다(이동근 외., 2010). 모형의 종속변수로는 출현정보가 독립변수로는 환경변수가 입력된다. 모델의 결과물로는 Habitat Suitability Index(HSI)가 도출되며 0(비출현)과 1(출현)의 서식지 적합성이 분석된다(Philips and Dudik, 2008). 삵의 출현 정보는 제 2차 「전국자연환경조사」(1997-2003)를 참고하였으며 삵의 출현지점을 이용하여 Maxent 모형을 구동하였다. |
