This research was conducted to find out the relation between sensory processing ability and Interpersonal Problem of university students. The subjects were 177 university students whose curricula were similar. The researchers made the subjects fill out the Adolescent/Adult sensory profile and Korean inventory of interpersonal problem(KIIP). The analysis of the relevancy between the Adolescent/Adult profile and the Interpersonal problem showed that 'Low Registration' is related to all aspects of KIIP. 'Sensation Seeking' showed relation with Domineering/Controlling(r=0.150, p<0.05), self sacrificing(r=0.175, p<0.05), Intrusive (r=0.218, p<0.01), Interpersonal sensitivity(r=0.196, p<0.01), and Need for social approval(r=0.149, p<0.05). 'Sensation Sensitivity' showed relation with all aspects of KIIP. 'Sensation avoiding' showed relatively high relation with Domineering/ Controlling(r=0.403, p<0.01), Vindictive(r=0.420, p<0.01), Interpersonal ambivalence (r=0.452, p<0.01), and aggression(r=0.417, p<0.01). Through this research, it turned out that 'Sensory Processing ability' and the Interpersonal Problem are generally related, especially 'Low Registration' and 'Sensation Sensitivity' are highly related to the Interpersonal Problem.

대상 데이터

각각의 4분면의 총점을 구한 후 해당되는 점수의 점수분포에 따라 결과를 해석한다[Table 1]. 본 연구는 영문 청소년/성인 감각 프로파일을 한글판으로 번역 업체에 감수를 받아 영문판과 한글판의 내적 일치도 .72를 얻은 한글판 청소년/성인 감각 프로파일을 사용하였다[36]. AASP의 내적 일치도를 나타내는 Cronbach's α 값은 0.

데이터처리

청소년/성인 감각 프로파일과 한국형 대인관계문제검사의 관계를 알아보기 위해 SPSS/win 15.0을 활용하여 기술 통계 분석, 빈도분석, 상관분석을 실시하였다.

이론/모형

본 연구에 사용한 대인관계 문제 척도는 김영환 외[37]가 한국 실정에 맞게 한국판으로 표준화한 것을 사용하였다. 한국형 대인관계문제검사는 개인이 일상생활에서 경험하는 여러 가지 대인관계 문제를 종합적으로 평가하고 가장 어려움을 경험하는 핵심적인 대인관계문제를 밝히고 성격장애를 선별하기 위한 자기 보고형 검사이다.
연구는 2011년 12월 한 달 동안 시행하였고, 연구 대상자는 충청도와 대전 지역의 교과과정이 유사한 대학생 177명이었다. 연구 대상자들에게 본 질문지의 방법을 충분히 설명하고 동의를 구한 후 청소년/성인 감각 프로파일(Adolescent/Adult Sensory Profile(이하 AASP))과 한국형 대인관계문제검사(Korean Inventory of Interpersonal Problem(이하 KIIP))를 작성하게 하였다. 총 200부를 배부하였고, 정확히 응답하지 않은 부실한 자료를 제외한 총 177부를 최종 분석 자료로 사용하였다.

성능/효과

‘감각회피’ 영역은 KIIP 척도 중 과순응성, 자기희생척도를 제외한 모든 척도와 관련성이 있는 것으로 나타났으며 특히 통제지배(r=0.403, p<0.01), 자기중심성(r=0.420, p<0.01), 대인적비수용성(r=0.452, p<0.01), 공격성(r=0.417, p<0.01)과 비교적 높은 상관관계를 보였다.
8개의 원형척도와 5개의 성격장애척도로 구성되어 있으며 모든 척도는 0～4점 까지 5점 척도로 응답하고 수검자는 척도의 내용이 자신에게 어느 정도 가까운지에 따라 점수에 체크하게 된다. 8개의 원형 척도는 통제지배, 자기중심성, 냉담, 사회적 억제, 비주장성, 과순응성, 자기희생, 과관여 항목으로 구성되어 있고, 5개의 성격장애척도는 대인적 과민성, 대인적 비수용성, 공격성, 사회적 인정욕구, 사회성 부족 척도로 총 99문항으로 구성되어 있다. KIIP의 내적 일치도 Cronbach's α 값은 0.
AASP와 KIIP의 관련성을 분석한 결과 ‘낮은 감각 등록’영역은 KIIP 모든 척도와 관련성이 있는 것으로 나타났으며 특히 냉담척도(r=0.504, p<0.01), 사회적억제(r=0.525, p<0.01), 비주장성(r=0.568, p<0.01), 과순응성(r=0.537, p<0.01), 사회성부족척도(r=0.564, p<0.01)가 높은 상관관계를 보였다.
대학생 177명의 대인관계문제 검사의 평균 점수를 알아본 결과 통제지배척도는 9.91점, 자기중심성척도는 11.2점, 냉담 척도는 13.4점, 사회적억제척도는 14.45점, 비주장성척도는 17.73점, 과순응성척도는 17.9점, 자기희생척도는 17.91점, 과관여척도는 14.27점, 대인적과민성척도는 14.31점, 대인적비수용성척도는 14.76점, 공격성척도는 8.91점, 사회적인정욕구척도는 13.45점, 사회성부족척도는 17.12점이었다[Table 4].
대학생 177명의 청소년/성인 감각 프로파일의 평균 점수를 알아본 결과 ‘낮은 감각 등록’, ‘감각 민감성,’, ‘감각 회피’는 ‘대부분의 사람들과 유사함’으로 나타났지만 ‘감각 찾기’의 평균 점수는 37.5점으로 ‘대부분의 사람들보다 적음’으로 나타났다.
대학생 177명의 청소년/성인 감각 프로파일의 평균 점수를 알아본 결과 ‘낮은 감각 등록’의 평균 점수는 31.3점, ‘감각 찾기’의 평균 점수는 37.5점이었다.
청소년/성인 감각 프로파일과 한국형 대인관계문제검사의 관련성을 분석한 결과 ‘낮은 감각 등록’ 영역은 한국형 대인관계문제검사 모든 척도와 관련성이 있으며 특히 냉담척도(r=0.504, p<0.01), 사회적억제(r=0.525, p<0.01), 비주장성(r=0.568, p<0.01), 과순응성(r=0.537, p<0.01), 사회성부족척도(r=0.564, p<0.01)에서 높은 상관관계를 보였다.

후속연구

그러나 우리나라 성인의 감각처리 유형과 대인관계 문제와의 관련성을 확인하는데 그 의의를 둘 수 있다. 본 연구 결과를 기초로 성인의 감각처리 문제와 심리학적인 다양한 문제들과의 연구들이 이루어지기를 바란다.
본 연구는 대상자수가 일부 대학생으로 제한되어 있어 일반화하는데 어려움이 있으며 그 외의 심리학적인 검사를 함께 실시하지 못한 제한점이 있다. 그러나 우리나라 성인의 감각처리 유형과 대인관계 문제와의 관련성을 확인하는데 그 의의를 둘 수 있다.
